An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Just wanted to let you know that I am all caught up now, thanks to your Mr. Linkydoos at the beginning. I will have to give some thought to your latest game and then I will let you know my guesses.

I always have appreciated links in others' reports; it just makes keeping caught up easier! Especially, if you have to be gone for a bit.

Everyone has until April (I SAID APRIL, TIM!, YOU SMART ALEC!) to get their guesses in, so not too much of a hurry. :thumbsup2

Hi Liesa

If heading to DC, passing by BWI would be a definite "along the way" jaunt. Not sure if anyone else has offered yet but I'd look forward to the travel from Baltimore to DC with you ... and I'm hoping to check in with any other Pennsylvanians to see about a connection (I think GlennBo's from York - which would also be "on my way").

I know there are some super fun places to hang together outside DC at National Harbor - but not certain what everyone else will be into??

Oh - and my guesses are forthcoming :thumbsup2

Rob

Hi Rob! Where do you live? I just noticed it says near Hershey. I live in Camp Hill. I am hoping to meet Liesa and everyone in DC - I just need to review the details of when the meets are because I can't remember. Maybe I can sweet talk Liesa into PMing them to me? :flower3:

Banana Creme Pies - what a nice mom!

Carissan boys - love those photos! Too funny!

OK, Jen, here's the scoop...I'll Pm you tom...

Carissa, your pictures have made me a little nervous because we're doing Hoop this year. I'd rather point and laugh than be pointed and laughed at, although I'm a pretty good sport. I think we have Cat. 1 seating, I wonder how I can check that.

Oh - I'm sure you'll be fine. :rolleyes1

Carissanboys, I am going back to read your tr due to the picture of your dad. Looks like you had a great time. I have to say hi to a fellow Mainer. Where in Maine are you from if you don't mind me asking?

That was a fun trip! Lots of neat stuff happened. :goodvibes That was a combined PTR/TR (my first for both), but there are links on the first page for each section.

I was born and raised in Lewiston. Lived there until I was 19. I have also lived in Gorham, Portland, and Ellsworth.

Oh, who knows.... might be just as much fun as holding the all-time TSM record... :confused3;):lmao:

Fun to see you two getting to know each other...:rolleyes1It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood...:rolleyes1

Time for one more installment of "What Might the Day Hold?" So many possibilities, so many chances to get into trouble!!

The day before this, if you'll kindly recall, we have spent at AK with a grand finale of wHooping it up at the Fort.

Now, let's see what the Terrific Trio has cooked up for this---Thursday, Sept. 9:

Oops!! How did this happen?? Another EARLY Rope Drop following a semi-late night out. I told LeeAnn there would only be a few of these- and this is one.

Now... a note that must be noted: Of our last 5 parks days, at least 3 of them MUST be NO-HOP days. Remember, I am using those 3 tickets we get as part of our FD package, and we won't have those tickets until we check into the POR.

7:00- Up, coffee, showers, etc...

8:00- RD at MK

Lunch at CHH

6:00- Dinner at JIKO The Cooking Place. Ummm... Just wondering...do they do anything else there?? I mean it's certainly not JIKO The Sleeping Place or JIKO The Laundry Place. I mean, is Disney going to start naming the Restrooms: Bathroom The "Resting" Place?? or M:S The Puking Place?

Sorry, just got me to thinking there...

After noshing on delectible stews of the Indian-inspired kind we'll head back to POR to catch something I've LONG awaited- Yeehaw Bob!

Well, I see there are updates to be read, but I'm about to keel over here so I'll have to finish catching up tomorrow. Been a rough day. I somehow managed to burn myself TWICE in the kitchen today. It will be a funny story one day...today is not the day. Taking my extra crispy self to bed before a meteroite comes smashing through the window or something.

Oh, BTW - I got your PM - will holla if I hear anything.

Night all!

Hey YOU! Yeah, you- Ninja poster!

HA!

Sorry you're feeling extra tired and "burned out". ;) Hope you can get a break in your "toasty" bed!!

G'nite!

Uh yeah, that was me again, posting in my daughter's name. I had already switched out to her name so as to edit the TOC, and got all excited GB made his crispy presence known, and post hasted.

It is NUTZ over there!! I just logged on and saw that about the Carriers going over to help out. Crazy!!! I am really starting to get nervous!! I hope that things stops belching by August! :scared1:

Can helicopters fly in it, but jets not?? I really have no idea how all that works- but am so glad everyone was safe on the bus, and that your chancellor got back fine too!! Besides being inconvenient, it's becoming very dangerous!

Since I live under a rock these days when it comes to the news, what's going on? Where, what, when and how?

Asparagus is great grilled, that's how we usually fix them.

Do you do anything to them before cooking on the grill? I've always wanted to do this, but never have.

Good one Glennbo!! :thumbsup2

The game loos cool. I'll hopefully play along soon. Been a crazy 5 weeks here. I thought we were going to catch a break until I heard we have plans AGAIN this Sat. :headache:

Be kind to yourself G.B., we miss you!

POR is so wonderful! I'm sure the Poly is wonderful and all, but the grounds at POR can't be beat IMO. :thumbsup2

I think I'm right there with you Carrisa! :thumbsup2 Amazing grounds. I can't wait to stay there, that is after the rooms are redone.

Yay for an ADR at HDD! :cool1: We had category 1 seating when we ate there and my dad ended up getting chosen to be in the final show. Let's just say I don't think I've laughed as hard since his stage debut. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMGoodness! This is funnier than I thought it would be!! I had tears streaming down my face looking at them!! I can't imagine what it must have been like watching it!! The tears really got going thinking of what my DH would look like up there!! :rotfl: He didn't think it to funny!

There's no problem in having your sister come along! After all, none of us really know each other. At least, not until we all get together. Sorry to say that Baltimore is probably not on my way down from Canada ;)

I'm thinking we've gotten to know one another pretty well on here for a bunch of strangers!

PMing you...

2) I'm sure they will- it's Disney! I'd be happy sleeping on a cardboard box in the bushes at All Stars Music.

Hey Bushes are MY Domain!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Not as much as Winkers!!

Evening Mama! :)
Sorry I was outie lastnight, I was so tired I went to bed early, really early!! I think I fell asleep on the couch at 10:30 and finally went upstairs to bed by 11:30. Needless to say I was up at the butt crack of dawn, but it was all good. Besides, I need to get geared up for getting up early while in the World. :goodvibes

You actually think you are going to get up at 7 and make RD at 8? Not. Gonna. Happen.

Jiko... MMMMMMM Love it there. So how you getting back to POR from AKL? Taking a cab? That probably would be your best option.

Jiko the ___ place. I gotta think about this one. LOL I've wondered how they came up with that name as well. :confused3:confused3

I think of all the ones we don't get to, it'll be this one. And that's ok. We have more MK coming up.

Mary is either driving to renting a car. So we've got wheels. If not, and she makes a last minute decision not to, we'll go with the cab route.

JIKO The Oddly Named Place.

Yeah, I found that book I mentioned. Will try to call either tom. or this weekend.

Good to hear you've been getting some good night's sleep! :woohoo:

Jiko is a wonderful restaurant and since we took the culinary tour at AKL I can pass this info on about its name: Jiko is a Swahili word which means "the cooking place". I would guess that it would also mean kitchen, but since an African hut in a kraal does not have a kitchen, I guess the they just call the place where they cook "the cooking place", i.e. jiko. :goodvibes

So it is as if they would call Kouzzina "Kouzzina - the kitchen"!
