An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

I am on the computer doing some work before my wedding tonight. I thought Mary had the never ending PTR. LOLOL

I think I am supposed to take this as a compliment... :confused3:confused3

Maybe on Sunday I'll have some guesses for ya. :surfweb:

Well, you and Rebecca WERE the only ones to point out that I was off by a year and 1 month- or 1 month depending on your point of view. :rotfl2:

So, are you taking a second wife? Mel DID agree, right???

I've always wondered, and you've probably said this before....but when did you leave England to come to the states to live?

I left England in 1971 !!! Have been here in the Falls ever since !! This is really HOME to me as I have spent most of my life here !!

Mary Poppins was fabulous! If you ever get a chance, I highly recommend it!

Here are my uneducated, flying by the seat of my pants guesses!

13) Yes or No? Will we be upgraded at any of our resorts
Yes -Maroo is the upgrade queen after all

14) How many of the planned snacks on Liesa’s list will she get? (Go back to Pt. 1 of the PTR and check those out!)
All (I have faith in your snacking ability!)

15) Of these CS places that we plan on getting to, which one would we throw out? Pecos? Flame Tree? Starring Rolls? Tangierine Café?
Starring Rolls

19) Will the Main Street Electrical Parade still be there for our visit?
I hope so!

20) Will Liesa find and photograph at least 15 Hidden Mickeys??
Absolutely!

There you go. Give me your answers numbered with the answer- you know, just try to make it sorta legible and understandable. I am simple and need things easy. Answers are due by the end of April. Good luck!!![/SIZE]

Thanks for playing, Tink!! I'm just trying to figure out an easy way to transfer all this data to one place for storage. Maybe if I pay Rebekah she'll do some entry on Excel for me. :lmao:

Only 4 drinks?? ;)

/
Haha, yeah. I figured you wouldn't want to get TOO loopy on vacation!

Time will tell on this one....

I may be having so much fun getting pukey on M:S that I won't want to taste that ever-so-popular Grey Goose. :confused3

Morning Liesa! :sunny:

I think you deserve to get loopy. ::yes::
:)

YOu guys are too funny!! I am sooooo NOT a drinker at home. Seriously, if there's a bottle of good wine, it still takes us several days to get through it. MIxed drinks? About once every 4 months. But vacation ALL bets are off!! There's just so many that sound so yummy!

Deserve it?? Just wait til you hear about my weekend... :scared1::lmao::scared1::lmao::scared1::lmao:

Now I know! A mystery solved. What brought y'all to the states, if I may ask?

Ditto! I love to have mixed drinks when I'm not in my home town. At most I have a drink about 5-8 times a year. I love to have wine at home, but probably only happens about once every few months and then the occasional frozen margarita when I go out for Mexican food. :goodvibes Mmmmm. So saying 5-8 might be stretching it.
Like you, I like to try new things when I'm out of my element. :goodvibes I'm really looking forward to a flight of Tequila at the Caves in Epcot, did I say flight right? Good Tequila, reeeeeaaaallly good Tequila goes down soooo smooooth, and you won't get as drunk off of it as you do with the cheap stuff. Or do I want to do the flight of margs.? Hmmm, maybe both! Ha! I would certainly share it with my DH, so I'll for sure be able to make it around the world without getting.....

OK, since you twisted my arm...

Here's the short version...

Saturday dawned bright and clear, winds out of the NNW at a good clip of 35 knots. Oh wait, you wanted the short version....
Saturday, I worked my ever-so-cute little (I'll stretch it just a bit for my own self-gratification) hiney off BIG TIME preparing our Seder Meal for 14. Figuring out how to cook an entire leg of lamb is NOT easy, and aside from making all the other side dishes and everything else. I was totally wiped out.

Of course, at 1:00, my househelper calls me. She had left the house to come to work, and gets half way here and pukes. Yup. My right hand gal crapped out on me, on the one day of the year I have a dinner party. So, my own girls had to work extra hard and they were amazing!! So it ended up blessing them too.

Guests showed up at 6:30, the dinner/ceremony lasted until the 10:00. The din from the crying babies was deafening, but the older girls gave even more of themselves and held them and played with them.

Then of course, there were a bazillion dishes- I was up until 1:30AM working.

Sunday- We wanted to go to the Russian circus, which is usually really great and well worth going to. We arrive to a scene of mass pandamonium!!! It was horrible. After 3,000 years of humankind you'd think that most cultures would have a queue system figured out in which it would prevent mob scenes with everyone yelling at each other and sharing collective confusion. The former CIS countries have not done this, and for 400 people there was one ticket seller. NO line was apparent, it was just a massive blob of pushing and shoving. My brave hubbie withstood it for 45 minutes and after that couldn't take it anymore. At one point he got near the front, and they added another 3:00 showing (the 12 one we wanted to go to was sold out) and had jacked up the price to $18 a seat. Nope. Not for 6 seats for a circus. Cirque La Nouba this is not.

Meantime, while he was in line, I ran into an English speaking friend I hadn't seen in 3 years. It came up that her mother is dying and she started to cry while we were talking. It was rather uncomfortable and kinda weird, but she seemed eager to get together later this week- I will call her and offer them words of life and hope. This is my passion and well, it's my job.

Fast forward to 2:00, 2 hours after leaving the house for the circus. That plan was OUT. What do do? What to do?? WE live in freakin nowhere. There aren't a whole lot of choices.

We decide to give bowling a shot. Last time we went the lanes were visibly warped and it was just generally a joke.

We get there and hurrah, they're open! Took about 10 minutes to find someone who could help us, and when we did, this guy who were pretty sure was going to die in the next 15 minutes came staggering out of the back room. He claims he was sick, but to me it looked like he was on his deathbed either from a long night out, or from an advanced case of Ebola virus, that I'm praying doesn't afflict us. He could barely hold his head up and couldn't even focus on the computer screen to input oru names.

OK, short story... I kicked Mike's butt by 35 points, but my own is so sore I can hardly stand up. It's cute, but not in shape. Rebecca, I thought you who mentioned this when we discussed the benefits of running. :lmao:

Should I mention that I must have been ultra lucky because there were only 2 lights on in the place?? I was bowling in my socks, and of course, I left the house with the one essential that I should know better to ALWAYS carry with me?? Who can guess what that is??

After bowling we went out for lunch. It was fabulous Turkish food - doner and pee-duh. That's the phonetic pronunciation for those of you who've never had Turkish. DId I mention that this day was all about my son, who turned 12 today??

I slept well, despite the incredible reek coming from my toilet room?? We only flush poo; and are hoping that the pump truck can come today. This is the song that never ends... yes, it goes on and on my friends...

Any questions....?

Thank goodness for the short version!! :lmao: It sounds like you had an eventful weekend. :hippie:

Sorry you weren't able to see the circus. Although it you did see the circus before the circus! :rotfl2:

I shouldn't touch this one... I hope your color choice didn't give away the answer. :rolleyes1

If she's puking that night or the next morning..should she blame you?!

All clothing damages can be billed directly to Tim. :lmao:

Only if she flies me down there to yell at me in person! ;)

I think Liesa can handle her alcohol. She will be fine with a drink or 2. :goodvibes

(right Liesa?);)

I can guarantee I won't be barfing. I just want to taste them, not gorge myself. There was a day, a way back when... well... let's just say, it went down easier, but there was the self-control element majorly lacking. Now I know better!! ;)

Did you know there's an unofficial nickname for that place?? Some call it "The Ditch" ---- once you fall in, it's pretty tough to climb back out...

I don't know if I ever told you this officially, but that place has become my target destination for a cool drink and the TR journal update central. Just sayin....

Do I have a BRITISH Accent Ask Jordan an the Cherie's !!! Hint Yes I do!!!!

I married a GI stationed in England and he was from the Falls !! We'v been divorced a few years now !!

I LOVE me a Brit accent!! So sexy!

Hey, that is a good excuse to go to WDW.

I'm thinkin' so.

Nope. Sorry if the red threw you off. I was just meaning TP. Bathrooms NEVER have TP OR soap. :sad2:

WHEW! Sorry.. I thought that was where you were going with that. I'm glad you weren't.

So you have to travel with a roll of TP? I guess that's not too bad. :confused3
