An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Here's my guesses:

Tim's on the cake thread
Glennbo's on the DVC thread
Cynthia is still crunching numbers on a spreadsheet with a fancy # on it
Amanda is opening another gift or packing
You're trying to just tread water on your own thread
TG is texting with xoktenox or doing homework
Millie's just trying to get to bed
Cherie's cooking up some new moves
Rosie's working

What are ya'll doing????

You're kinda right -- I do check out what's going on on the DVC threads, but I went to bed at about 11:30. Your post was way after that.

Everyone's lights are on, but there's not a lot of posting going on. :confused3

Was my light on? (I can't sleep with the lights on.) But seriously, it shouldn't have been at that time.

I fell asleep on the couch at 830pm and woke up at 11 when Mel got called into work. Made my way to the bed and slept till now. LOL Mel is sleeping in since she got home late... 2:30am.. not that bad though- it could of been worse.

Was my light on? That is strange. :confused3:confused3

Hurray for you guys!!!!

I didn't take school serious enough. I was in all honors classes but just did enough to get B's. I could of applied my self more and definitely read more instead of skimming. I also played sports all through out HS & my short time in college which took a lot of time as well. I wish I could go back and do it again. As the partying goes.... errrrr I joined in my share of that. :rotfl2:

AWw, poor Mel! Does she often have to stay out and work so late??!! That's awful hours. But as they say... if it pays the bills...

Here's my take on the green lights... I think you actually stay logged in for a spell after you close your browser unless you actually log out. I know if I come back after even up to a half hour I"m still logged in. So, I"m not sure. All I know is that most of my pals here had green for go, but weren't really posting ANYWHERE. :confused3

School? I figured you were a pretty smart guy! :thumbsup2 B's are excellent grades. At least that's what I tell my perfectionist 2nd daughter who has a complex if she gets anything less than an A.

Since I am not a vegetarian it seems pretty stupid to care about the oysters... But I wouldn't eat the either, but just because I don't like shellfish.

What a difficult decision! I loved all of our TS meals, but in the end I was wondering wether they did not also take away quite a bit from our touring time. We had the time staying there for 9 full days, but in a shorter trip I might be tempted to do less TS meals. I am not a huge sounvenir buyer, I try to stay away from many small things and love getting one "big" thing, which is always something that can be used in daily life. So not so different from your ideas! :goodvibes However, I find it difficult at Disney to stay away from buying all kind of things... :rolleyes1

Mmmm... shellfish! I have my eye on several places where I plan on getting scallops or mussels! Zummy!!

Some are definitely having to go. Namely Ragland (there goes my mussels) and Brown Derby (there go my scallops). More touring time is never a bad thing though. ;)

Just checked out your newest update on the train journey: UNBELIEVEABLE!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

The scary thing is that it's the honest to goodness truth!!! The most awful part is coming up in the final (I hope) chapter!

That sounds beautiful, Cynthia! I don't like big, gaudy rings. Well, actually - I'd take any ring right now. In 2008 I lost the center diamond out of my engagement ring, AND a few months later - I lost my wedding band!

I like it, but left it in the States. We don't want to send a message to our local friends that would put distance between us and them. Most cannot even afford a very simple gold band. Here's an interesting factoid... most people in Central Asia and China wear their wedding bands (if they have one) on the right hand. I wear mine there, and have a callus there. It always feels weird when I switch it on the plane coming home, and does for about a month afterwards.

Glad you took my idea about the glasses !! They are not necessarily as dark as sunglasses but do the trick !! They get rid of that awful brightnes from sun or snow !!

On the souvies I just started picking up Disney kitchen things /\.. I have measuring cups and 2 serving thingies all of which are used daily !!!

Well, I haven't decided what to do yet. I may just keep the shades and switch out to save $$. I'll have to see what the prices are once I get back. :confused3

Yeah, it was. In fact, yours and Cynthia's were, and I thought, hmmm... that's weird that you wouldn't be posting ANYWHERE! :confused3 THen I thought, well, maybe they ventured over to the DVC or Parks and Attractions Boards or ???

I like to say "which side of the fence are you straddling?"

It might be a Gracie Allen quote or somebody like that, but I like to use it.

:lmao::lmao:

I so don't know! I really can't make up my mind, but clearly something HAS to go!

:lmao: Liesa..You were pretty close, I was uploading the pics of the tees Maroo sent and doing that update. My light stays on most of the time though...with dial-up I just connect and let it stay online for as long as it will. Sometimes I can get it to go 24 hours, but staying logged in here helps..it fools the servers ;)

I thought so! Cuz I saw that post go up. :lmao: I love those shirts!!

Mine too. I just go back and forth from lessons to refreshing the page.:rotfl2:

The best thing about the light on is being able to say... "No, no..I wasn't online at 3:30am, I just didn't disconnect the dial-up" :rolleyes1: :rotfl2:

The sad thing is that I can totally relate to that statment! :rotfl2:

I was fearing that the train trip would become even worse...

And with regard to wedding bands: Central Asia extends all the way to Germany! :goodvibes They are worn on the right hand here as well. And I think that's true for Eastern and Northern Europe as well. And I think it switches over to left hand in France and the UK...

It does.

Then it sounds like it's really MOST of the world that does things "right". HA!

I"m left handed- so I actually prefer it. :goodvibes

Just read your blog, and :scared1: I am in disbelief. I mean, I believe it, but I can't believe it.

You won't have to take a train for your big move will you?

I'm terrible about logging off when I go to make dinner, I usually hop back on before bed for a spell so tend to just leave everything up!

I'm not sure how bad your eyes are Liesa but are contacts an option? You could just do regular shades then.

I do the on/off thing as I don't care for the transitions and can no longer wear contacts due to severe dry eye. However I really only need my glasses for a theater show, other indoor things I can get by without them if I need to. I am so used to it it's not a big deal, I just have to have a park bag that is big enough to hold one glasses case for the swap.

I would LOVE to get new RX shades for the trip but doubt that will happen as I am concerned my eyes have changed enough I'll need new regular lenses and that will be pricey enough! I have an appointment next week actually but need to reschedule it.

I echo the Costco comment though, unless you have insurance they are by far the best way to go. Lenscrafters is insanely expensive, even with coupons and I think their selection has really gone downhill for the prices they ask.

Believe it.

No, flying all the way. Village to city, to Frankfurt, to Chicago, to Nashville to Seattle to Portland.

Ugh.

Contacts would be an option, but don't want to start that jsut for a trip to WDW. Someday, I'm going lasik!! :woohoo:

I'll prolly end up just going back and forth and not worry about it. It'll be a lot less hassle factor than hauling kids and strollers around. And that wasn't really too bad. ;)

last night I was....cooking in my new kitchen, calming a pms crazed teenager, cleaning and kissing ****oo's after Ethan got ran over by Hunter and his bike, attempting to help the 16 year old pack for a band trip and wondering how on earth said kid is going to function on his own in 2 years, cleaning up after my doxy with a spastic colon, coughing, coughing, coughing some more...and then passing out.

Am I excused?;)

Liesa...:flower3:...I just wanted to sneak in a mention of my new PTR with xoktenox...Link is in the sig!

Okay, done pimpin'! :rotfl:

Cherie I love how your post got asterisk'd! Took me a minute to figure it out.

School? I figured you were a pretty smart guy! :thumbsup2 B's are excellent grades. At least that's what I tell my perfectionist 2nd daughter who has a complex if she gets anything less than an A.

She is on call every 5th weekend- Friday 11p-7aSat Sat 3p-7aSun then Sun 3p-11p. She picks up random calls during the week.. .like last night.

Mine must always be on because I never log out. But I usually have the computer on all day logged in and check it every once in a while.

I should of done better with school.... that is all I'm saying. :cool2:

3) Funny how the Board bleeped out B**bs!

What?? Are you kidding me?? We can't say ****s on the Dis?? :confused3 That's a real shame cause I'm pretty sure the topic of "my ladies" may come up on my PTR. I haven't read a book yet about running that didn't mention them. Guess I'll need to have a contest to come up with a new word to use.
