I was thinking today about the early days of the DIS and smiled. I remember you answering my first post almost 5 years ago and my early days in chat when you made me go. Even through I had never chatted and totally messed up, you not only made me feel welcome, you also made me a chat host

I remember when you and Pete asked me to host the Trip Reports Board but failed to tell me that I didn't have to read every single word lol. I still think this is why I need reading glasses.

You my friend have always been there for me, Sarah and Savanna (they used to love chatting with you). Even when I didn't believe I needed the DIS any longer, you never turned your back on me.

As painful as it is to see you take a lesser role, the most important thing is your happiness. I understand why you are doing this and I have worried about you many times.

You are a classy and amazing woman.

Lord knows, Cathy, we have butted heads a few (well, more than a few ) times over the years, LOL, but I think we have both agreed a number of times in the past it is from our common love, the DIS, and its members. Your knowledge and commitment have been well felt here on the DIS.

When I came to the DIS a little over 4 years ago, I well recall you on the Restaurant/Resort board (then combined), answering many of the questions from a guy who had never been to WDW before, (save for a business convention the prior year). You, along with many not seen here too often anymore, Wilderness, Candie, Baloo, and others, helped make our first and only family WDW (I say that often here, but it's true, LOL) a memory I will forever cherish. We had the opportunity to be the very first trip that was taken through the then brand new Dreams Unlimited, and you were the Murphy family's agent. How that has grown!!!! And we got to meet you while on that trip too, at Pete's DIS holiday party at DQ. And your whole family several times over the years (Patrick can still give me a tear when I see him talk).

It was a memorable couple years, while I shared with you here, as a moderator, and as said above, any 'head butting' always came from our both loves of the DIS (I have to say though, you always won, LOL ). Thanks, Cathy, for your devotion to the DIS, a good place (no, change that...great place) it is. My very best wishes in whatever you do. Hope to see you here with the rest of the DIS'ers.

I remember when I first found the DIS too! back in 2000. Then I got too busy to post, and found it again recently. Cathy you are one of the people that have always made me feel "at home" here on the DIS. Thank you!
