An every so often live trip report!

I left my last post when we had finally arrived and settled in our room.

So I am trying a live trip report when i get the chance.

Arrival day was Wednesday and we were at the hotel by 9pm. Got the refillable mugs then straight to bed.

Thursday started with breakfast at Cape May. We were up at 5:30! By the time i had sorted the cases out and put things away, we all got ready and headed down at 7:30, we didn't wait long.and were sat at out table.
We met Goofy, Donald and Minnie. Food was nice but DD2 does not like the characters at all. She screams and hides under the table!! We have a whole load more character meals booked so she best get to like them!

After breakfast we headed to Epcot for our first FP+ of the day on Soarin. We got a rider swap ande and DD10 went first then see went with DH. This all took 40mins from entering the park at 9am. By 9:30 the stand by was 70mins and all FP'S had gone!
We did living land then picked our photo pass plus up.
Next was Test Track again rider swap took about 40 mins all in.
We did have the character spot booked too but as DD2 is not into the characters yet we didn't do it.

Had a walk round world showcase.Ride on Mexico, a few beverages then back to the hotel pool. It was a bit cold today so the pool was freezing!

DTD was tonight at PH. Bus ride was 15 mins there but 40 on the way back!!

Thursday was DHS emh. Made it to TSM at 8:15 and stand by was 40mins. I had FP'S for later on but wanted to try and get it done earlier.
So we did The Muppets then went for breakfast at H&V. Again DD2 did not like it again and OsO is her favorite!
We had a wander round then did playhouse Disney. TSM. Star tours and ToT, DD10 screamed and was crying her eyes out!! We went back to the pool after that!
The weather was lovely and pool a bit warmer.
Ate at Hurricane Hannas, burger was lovely.
Went to Epcot just to ride Nemo and see Crush.
Feeling tired and DD2 fell asleep i went back to the room and DH stayed with DD10 to watch the movie on the beach.

Today was meant to be a pool day then MK about 5pm. But we may head out to MK now and move all the FP'S forward!!!

Thanks for posting, sounds like you are having a very busy time. Do you think that the FP+ will impact those who do not have it?

Awwwww! Sorry to hear DD2 doesn't like the characters yet because when you see all the children's faces light up at the sight of a character, it's SO AMAZING! Am sure in a couple of years she'll have you run ragged on a "character hunt"! Hope you have a FAB time!

My DS2 hated the characters at first, but finally about 10 days into the trip he suddenly changed his mind and loved them. I don't know why he suddenly switched.

Hi again.
So yesterday we did end up in MK.
DH did not want to spend all day in the pool with DD2! Its easier to be at a park all day!
So we headed off last min and got to MK just after 9.
I moved all my FP'S forward and we actually used 6 FP'S in all as we were able to use paper FP'S too. We pretty much walked on all the rides we chose.
We were done by about 3 so headed back to the pool.
As we weren't going to be at MK that night we spent a bit longer at the pool and decided to go to DTD.
Big mistake on a Saturday night esp when DHS was closed at 6.
It took an hour to get there. Luckily Wolfgang was not too busy and we ate there. Spaghetti was just ok. DH liked his spicy pizza.
After we did a bit of shopping. DD10 wants to be Merida tomorrow when see gets her BBB so she got the outfit.
By the time we got back to BC on a packed bus with a sleeping baby, we were zonked.

MK was today. I will try and post later.

Can't say I blame your DH - I'd also rather be at a park all day than at the pool, hahaha!!

Oh DTD buses ..... I never quite get why folk get upset about offsite guests parking at DTD and then using the buses to save on parking ..... it only takes one experience of DTD to resort (any resort) by bus to put paid to such plans for all but the die-hard scrooges!!

Where did you buy the Merida costume from? Hoping you'll be able to post some pictures Looking forward to hearing how it all went

Hi.

FP lines have been ok. The only one I've encountered long lines so far is BTM but its still quicker than waiting 40+mins.
Most of the popular rides have been 40+ even the likes of Pooh Bear and Jungle cruise.
Soarin and test track and TSM are out of FP'S by 9:30 am! Then they can have a 70mins stand by.
We agreed on mins max for a ride but to be honest we've not had to with the extra FP'S and being able to swap our FP+ when were in the park.



We got the Merida dress from DTD but most dress shops sell it. No wig tho!

So yesterday was another MK day. It was scheduled for this as DD10 had BBB. She went dressed as Merida and while she was waiting and seeing all these princesses she decided see didn't want to be Merida!! So we had to add on an outfit from the new Frozen movie out soon. So she was now Elsa!! DH was not impresses with the extra $$$!!!
We got alot done, pooh bear. carousel. teacups. dumb
Minnie and daisy. Ariel. lunch at BOG. BTM. Aladdin. jungle cruise. POTC. and prob some others i can't remember!
were exhausted by 3 so we headed home via the monorail.

At AK today. Its hot hot hot

The Disney outlet stores had rails of character dresses a couple of weeks ago but don't recall seeing Merida (but I wasn't looking) They were all half marked price.

I'm back with another update.

So we left of at AK on Monday. this was an EMH and we got there just before 8. The bus driver kindly waited for DH and the big one to arrive as they were getting the morning ties and coffee!!

We headed straight for the Safari ride and was very confused as the wait time at 8:05 was 40mins!! A quick chat the the CM and he advised it didn't oped till 8:30 but we could get tin line now. We did and we're on the 2nd truck by 8:25, it took a while to complete the safari trip as those cheeky giraffe kept on stopping in the middle of the road!
By the time we had finished it was 9 and we had a FP+ for the safari again. We didn't want to ride again so stopped at the FP kiosk and a CM changed it for the Dinosaur later in the day. We had breakfast booked for 9:50 at Tusker House but checked in early. We got our picture taken with Donald and realised we had forgotten the PP+!
I explained that it was back at the hotel and the photo guy said to write the time and location down and when we got back to the hotel, go to the photo pass desk and they can add it on.
We were seated very soon after that and went for food, it was good, very good, the characters came round, DD2 still a bit unsure but we did manage to get the family picture with Donald.
When the picture pack came round I explained again the situation but the guy asked if I had taken a picture of the PP card, yes I did, I showed it to him and he said he will go sort it out and be back, he came back with the printed pack and gave it to me!!
After this we went to EE, we had FP+ for this but also grabbed a regular FP, DD10 rode it for the first time and with rider switch she ride 4 times, now we didn't have our PP+ card so had the CM write the number of each photo down and we had to get them added on at Guest relations in any park within 48 hours.
Next we headed to Dinoland and rode the 2 main rides there a few times, then onto Nemo. I wasn't going to FP+ this but glad I did! we got right at the front center next to the stage! great seats. DD2 loved it.
Off to ride Dinosaur, another forts for DD10 and she liked it so rode again with DH. Again the photo numbers were written down to be added on.
We stopped and had ice cream before heading out as it was getting on a bit and we had 50'sPT at 5:20.
Bus back via BB,a quick stop at reception to see if they could ring DHS lost and found as DD2 lost her MB last night there! They suggested that if I were going there now, to ask myself. No worries, I will. Well back in the room, DH was looking for the PP card and he found it along with the missing MB!
Quick change and off out again on the boat to DHS, I stopped at the photo shop and gave the girl the numbers of the rides from AK and she noted what we were wearing and who was in the photo and that they should be on in 48hours(I've not checked yet!)
Tea at 50'swas great, pot roast was yummy and the pork chop was nice too.
Rode Star tours then went home.


Tuesday was Epcot, it had EMh and I had planned to get there for 8 but after seeing how busy it's been I just left it and waiting until our breakfast time at Norway, I had FP anyway for TT and Soarin.
We headed out about 9:15 and got to Norway 9:30,checked in and encountered our first wait, got seated about 10:10.
Food was just ok. I never got to the pastries and fruit, our server never brought plated for our hot platter and he filled my tea with coffee!!
The princesses we're good, lots of interaction, but for the cost (free dining thank goodness) I would not pay oop.
We rode the ride in Norway and by now it was time for our FP for Soarin, I asked DD10 if she would prefer to go round the worlds instead and to her kid cot with DD2, she decided on this so I cancelled Soarin.we did most of the worlds, taking time to look into them and see things I've never noticed before like the little warriors in china and the bazaar in Morocco. We had to miss England and Canada and the FP+ for TT was almost up.
After TT we had a cool frozen drink then went it inventions then SE, I hadn't done SE in years and it was actually quite good, we all enjoyed it, especially the end!
We had to start walking back to the hotel now as we had a car pick up from the Dolphin, walked over and was given a Ford Escape, new, clean and car seat was decent. Luckily the valet guy knew how to put it in!
Another quick change and drive over to the Poly for 'Ohana. WOW. That's it WOW. Best meal so far, DD10 didn't want anything so they brought her a plate of chicken nuggets and fries. DD2 loved them too!
I had a Lapu Lapu, always wanted one, don't think I would get another at $15 a go!
Walked down to the beach and the kids had fun in the sand, saw the electrical water parade then the Halloween fireworks, they even pipped the Halloween music through.
It was 10:45 now and this is waaaaaay past our bed time!
DD2 fell asleep in the car and we went straight to bed.

Today has been a shopping day, we didn't wake till 8:20, now this is late for us!
Grabbed breakfast after a lazy wake up and headed to Prime Outlets in lake Buenavista. Saw a few things we liked but we always try and wait till we've been to the one on Idrive and macys in the mall at mellenia.
I got a top and dress from DKNY, $53 from $200, DD2 got a winter coat from Ralph Lauren $60 from $100, and some fudge! Which was amazing!
DH saw some jumpers and a coat in RL so cheap aswell, one jumper was $70 -40%, there giving them away.
Then DH was in TAG and wanted to show me a watch he saw, big mistake as now I have see ad watch! We've already got tags but in need of an upgrade I think. Let's see if we get them!
Headed out and to walmart next as DD10 wanted more monster high, she did get the headless horseman in toys r us which I haven't seen over in the UK plus a few others I said we would go back for, again, so cheap.
Back home and we had dinner at Garden Grill In Epcot. Made it just in time, again another nice meal. Rode Soarin then headed to morocco to view illuminations, it was a great spot, no one in front of us, DD2 was not too keen on the noise but lasted till the end. Bought her a Duffy bear for being brave but she fell asleep so she'll get it in the morning.

Off to bed now as it's MK EMH tomorrow, might just get there for 9 when the FP+ starts.

I did see that Frozen will be at Epcot at the weekend, he's she will dress up again for pictures, she wore it for the Norway breakfast.

Sounds AWESOME! How long would you say it takes to walk around World Showcase on average?? Mum's DESPERATE to go and we never made it past England and Canada when we went due to my toothache. Can't wait to read more!

You want at least 8 hours for WS by my reckoning. That's if you want to see the best of each country, although you won't cover everything in each one

A circuit of world showcase lagoon is about a mile without venturing off the main path!

You have 11 countries to explore - some will take more time than others.

For example the American Adventure show is over 30 mins alone (well worth seeing though)

We did it a few years ago during evening EMH and it wasn't that late but when we came out the park was deserted and there was only the few people in the show with us - a very odd experience.
