I did find it somewhat amusing but I can understand why some folks would have a problem with it. I don't think it's a George Bush issue but more to do with the fact that the New Orleans disaster is still pretty fresh and was very devastating, not just to the US but the world. It just might be funnier if the joke didn't revolve around such a touchy event.
That being said, I always thought that Black & White is more dramatic so that would be my choice.

I agree with you if you don't like what the thread is about just don't bother replying to it it really isn't that difficult to look at it and move along.
