An elf, a suprise and a Christmas Do-over....Our Dec. 2010 PTR

:cheer2: A pin for free dining! Woot woot!!:cheer2: I bet you can find some great things to do with that 1600 bucks! I know I could!

Kelly, Oh I could have alot of fun with that extra cash. :rotfl: I'm gonna be good though.....or at least I am going to try!!

Trish

Congrats on the Free Dining!!!!

I have now started filling my official WDW/Cruise bin for our trip. Bargains here I come! Heading to your state on July 31 to hopefully pick up some more :):)

I would love to hear what you have in your cruise bin. I just love getting things for vacation!! Have fun shopping here and please let me know about any great bargains that you find!! It is so much of a game for me!! Good luck!!pixiedust:

Woo Hoo for the PIN!!! :yay: It's such a great feeling to save money!!! I just saw that I got the free dining pin in my email last night, but we can't use it b/c we are already using the 40% off Pin to stay at AKL!!!

So with all those $$$ saved I'm thinking you will be doing some more shopping!! :rotfl:

Me shop??? You must have me confused with someone else! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::laughing:

Your 40% pin is a better deal for you than free dining. I want to stay at AKL again.....someday!

We are excited to stay at POR this time. Payton does not remember our stay at AKL when she was small, and only remembers POP Century. She is going to love having a waterslide to use...and will swim no matter what the temp is outside. :scared1:

No, I'm pretty sure I have the right Trish!!! :rotfl2: Yeah the % off pin was definitely a better deal for us!!! I am so excited to stay at AKL, matter to fact Devon just said to me I wish we could stay at AKL when we go in August, little does he know he is, only later this year!!!

I sure hope it is warm enough to swim!!! I so want the boys to be able to enjoy the pool area at AKL!!!

Today is the last show of the play "Bigger than Life" that Payton is in, followed by a cast party. This is the 5th show since Thursday. The kids in the theater have done a great job and I will post an update with pictures soon.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!!

Trish

I'm here and loving it! We want to do sort of a surprise for our kids, too, but the reveal will be about 3 weeks before we leave. We want to do the reveal on or the day after Thanksgiving so I'm brainstorming ideas. I love all the things you've picked out for your kids!

Hi Trish, I was so far behind on your PTR (sorry for that) but I used the morning to get caught up.

Calebs cake was super cute.

I am really sorry to hear about Blaze, I'm sorry to bring it up again, I hope this doesn't bring back sad feelings, I just wanted to say how sorry I was and I hope the heeling from the loss of your pet has started.

Shopping/bargains...:confused3what can I say? you have it mastered. You did find some great bargains, and I am totoally in love with that Kermit shirt.

Congratulations to Payton on her play, I can't wait to see pictures from that and hear all about it.

And last but not least, :cheer2::cheer2:hurray, you got a pincode, that is so awesome, I can understand you saying you went to bed with perma grin. Isn't it just the best feeling knowing that dining is taken care and so much money was saved?

I really can't wait for the big reveal, your TR when it's all said and done is top priority on my list for must reads!!

Ty

Sorry I haven't been around much folks! It has been really busy for us. Payton's play is over and now we are preparing for 10 days at the lake with friends. We have been cleaning the camper and all the stuff inside, etc. We are so excited, but the funny thing is that my boss at work, we are great friends, is also coming for the 4th year in a row. How many of you take vacations with your boss? Oh, and she hates it when I call her that. :rotfl: The only condition is that we call in and check in on the staff and that I check my e-mails from my phone. No problem, but don't be mad at me when we call from the beach while drinking sangria. :rotfl2:

One family that we camp with and ourselves have been camping together at this particular campground for 16 years. We love looking at all the pictures and seeing each others children grow.

Tyler called us last Saturday to tell us that he has his deployment date. He will be on a plane to Afghanistan no later than December 15th.:sad1: So it looks like he will be leaving while we are at Disney. That should be a good distraction for me. He will be coming home for block leave in November and I cannot wait to see him!!

Yesterday was his birthday and it was so hard for me...being the first birthday away from home. A really good thing happened to him though, after his shift on base he was told that he was receiving an award at a ceremony last night. He and his roommate received "Volunteer of the Quarter". They spent a lot of time helping to get the new USO on base opened up, and has volunteered there since, and he also volunteered to help at some local carnivals as security. I think it is pretty good since Tyler just arrived there in late April. He as already made an impression and I love the the base prides itself on Community Service so much.

I promise to come back soon and post pictures of Payton's play. It was so good and the kids worked so hard. Hopefully tonight I can get this updated.

I hope that you all are well.

I'm here!! Sorry for the delay but we spent 10 days at the lake camping with friends, and we are back and finally caught up on laundry, etc. Today is the first day in a couple of months that I do not have to leave my house!!

I have missed you all and am going to go check out the meet information!

I promise to post pictures and updates today!

Trish

As promised...Here is an update with pictures of what we have been doing for the last month.

First off, I will start with the play that Payton was in. It was called Bigger than Life and was like an old medicine show in the wild west. She had multiple parts including the Shooting Gallery Owner that worked with Annie Oakley. The kids all did a great job and had several sold out shows.

Here are some pictures:

The really neat thing about this play is that the kids were basically on stage the whole time and wore a basic costume but added pieces to it for each part that they played. It was really neat to see the transition to different characters.

She will be in a production with another local theater starting in January. The main difference about that one is that 70 children participate!! :scared1: Last year the play they did was Willy Wonka, Jr.

Once the play was over, we needed to get our camper ready and pack for 10 days at the lake with friends.

We look forward to this vacation every year and had a wonderful time. Not a drop of rain fell on us and we could not have asked for anything better. We camped with 3 other families, and our neice had her own site too.

Here are some of the pictures from camping.

We had a great time and cannot wait for next year's trip! The one thing missing though, was Tyler. This was the first year without him at camp and we all missed him terribly!

So...once camping was over I got even more excited for our upcoming suprise (bet you didn't think that could happen!) :lmao:

I have a snooper in the house named Payton and I wanted to get everything associated with the trip out of the house. It is a good thing that mom and dad only live 1/4 of a mile away. I loaded up my SUV and took it all over there. Mom and I had a great time looking at everything, and when Dad saw the pile of Christmas presents, he said "How are you going to get all of that to Disney?" LOL...He does now know who he is dealing with. My answer was "In suitcases." :rotfl2:

I also made a list of what is left to get and believe it or not, I only need to get Caleb a carry on suitcase, a Mickey Mouse shirt (I can't believe I did not have one in that pile) and Caleb a shirt for MVMCP. Payton does not need one thing more. I am so happy to have all that stuff purchased all ready.

We gathered all of the clues and put those in a bin and I'll just go over and get a few at a time as I need them.

I also ordered mom and I each one of the 2009 Passporters from their site this week for $1. I was going to go get a new one for myself, but for that price, I was able to get both of us one and we will use those ones. Mom is so excited and can't wait to get hers. Hopefully, they will arrive this week.

Ken is working 24 hours of overtime today, and since it is the first day in a couple of months that I do not have to go anywhere, I made Mickey waffles for the kids and we are having a Disney movie marathon. Right now, we are watching The Haunted Mansion. :) They have no idea that in just a couple of days I will be doing the double digit dance with my parents!

Trish

Woo hoo!!! Looks like you are all having a great summer!!! It's hard to believe that it is already coming to an end!!!

Super excited!!! We will both be doing the double digit dance in just a few days time!!!

We are having a great summer, and I cannot believe that it is almost over. We are going to try and get another weekend of camping in...actually are thinking of going in October. That will be a different experience for us with no water activites, but it sounds like a blast.

Double digit dancing sounds so exciting! :dance3::woohoo::cool1::banana:

Trish

Okay...I thought that I would share a couple pictures from breakfast this morning.

Here is Caleb mixing the waffle batter, oh and in the background of that picture is my lap top....with DisRadio playing....of course...:rotfl2:

The kids love it when I make the waffles. I have to tell you that the waffle maker was a Christmas gift from my sister several years ago...and it is one of the best gifts EVER!! If it ever breaks, I really think that I will cry.

Trish

YAY!! :cheer2: I loved reading your updates, and seeing pics!!

I too need to make a list of things I have left to buy. All I know is the tupperware in my closet for all things dis trip is stuffed!

Can't wait to hear more... popcorn::
