An elf, a suprise and a Christmas Do-over....Our Dec. 2010 PTR

Hey! You're back!! It is always nice when there is no rain on a camping trip. We just got back yesterday from a long weekend trip and it was pouring buckets when we got up and had to break down in the rain. Our camper is currently open and drying out in our driveway. What kind of popup do you have? In what little I could see of it in the picture, it looks like ours! We have a 10 ft Dutchman and we love it!!

Can't believe you have all but two things bought for your trip! All the pwere shopping earlier has really paid off.

I too need to make a list of things I have left to buy. All I know is the tupperware in my closet for all things dis trip is stuffed!

I am back...and it is nice to feel missed. I hate breaking down camp in the rain. Yuck! We have an older Starcraft, but for the amount of time we use it, it works perfectly for us!! I love it too...so much better than sleeping on the ground.

The summer has been great! Payton woke up this morning and said "I have one more week until school begins and it feels like I have only been on summer vacation for two weeks!" I guess time really does fly when you are having fun.

The power shopping has paid off.... I got some great deals!!

I'm going to take the pictures of the clues that I have for the kids later today...so stay tuned...there is more to come!

We are having a great summer, and I cannot believe that it is almost over. We are going to try and get another weekend of camping in...actually are thinking of going in October. That will be a different experience for us with no water activites, but it sounds like a blast.

Same here!!! The summer flew by!!! Devon heads back to school on 9/8!!! Can you believe next week is September already!!! I'm sort of glad thou b/c that means its getting closer to Dec each day!!!

I can't believe I never saw this PTR!! We will be in WDW Dec. 1 - Dec. 10th.

You have a beautiful family, it is so great you get to go with your parents to WDW. I love that you are surprising the kids, that is such fun. Tying Patches into the plan is so creative.

The plans look wonderful, yummy ADR's. Caleb's Toy Story cake was adorable.

I am so sorry about Blaze, how sad .

We saw TS3 today and loved it!!! I laughed and then cried like a baby. Of course, DH thought that it was hysterical that another Disney movie made me cry.

I stopped at mom and dad's tonight and gave them just a small taste of the Double Digit Dance. My dad thought that I had lost my mind!! I know that mom will dance with me though.

Welcome to my PTR!! I am so excited for this trip and really hope that we can pull off the suprise!

As for crying at Disney movies...it doesn't take much. I still cry at Lion King every single time I watch it....yesterday being one of those days.


Okay, so I know that I promised everyone pictures of the clues later, but when I stopped by at my parents house earlier, my mother had gone on a mission and was trying to find the Disney Christmas gift boxes that she bought after Christmas last year for .08 a peice. Well, she had her whole upstairs torn apart!! There was stuff everywhere. Her mission was successful, and she even found Christmas gifts that she forgot that she had already purchased for the kids. Needless to say, I would have been taking my life in my hands if I tried to cross the pile of stuff to get to my things. I promise to do so sometime over the next few days.

YAY Trish!!! I'm doing the double digit dance today too!!! I can not wait, just think in 10 days we will be doing another dance b/c we are in the 80's!!!

I love football too!!! My family has been season ticket holders for the Eagles for years!!! We actaully just gave our seats up for finanical reasons last season I so look forward to my Sunday's in the fall watching football all day!!!

My mom is quite clever with the sewing machine and crafting (she made Patches the Elf), so she has decided that he needs some sort of Disney shirt to wear to the parks and also needs a Disney night shirt. She is now on the hunt for the perfect fabric. Oh, and she wants to take him to Build-a-Bear to see if the Woody outfit will fit him. She is way too funny and that is one of the reasons that I love her so much!

We have also decided to suprise the kids each day with a gift in the room so I have put several of the tee-shirts aside so that they get a new one with a letter from Patches telling us where to go and where we are going to eat that day. I just love suprises and this trip will be full of them! We also plan on giving them lanyards with trading pins the first morning, and I...err I mean, Patches, plan on picking up a little something special...(I'll know it when they see it) to give to them on the last day to make that day a little bit easier.

I do promise to upload the pictures of the clues and give that update soon. We have been very busy with getting Payton ready for school. I can't believe that she goes back on Monday!

That is fantastic that you got the dining pin to save $1600! I just found a deal on Southwest Vacations that is slightly cheaper than the WDW vacations, only because it comes with a pay for 4 get 7 day park hopper. It is the same cost as the 5 day base ticket! I couldn't believe it!

Can't wait to see what else you have planned!

Okay....as I have promised, here is an update about clues. I really wanted the clues to be random and non "disney". I know, I know...but the kids are not going to know that these items are clues until the day that we leave.

We will probably end up with a few more before the trip, but think that we are going to have fun with these!
