beautiful photography!
The place was a bit of a mad house when we visited, so we didn't spend a lot of time looking at the details. Still, from what we did say I'd classify it as the best Disney castle walk through I've seen (though of course, I haven't been to Disneyland Paris and seen the dragon that resides in the castle there - I hear it's pretty spectacular!).
Great trip report, and like everyone else: I love the pictures! I hope one day I'll be as skilled with a camera like that (I use my automatic settings way too often )
About the dragon in Paris... Paris is my home park, and I've seen the dragon many times (so maybe I'm not seeing the special-ness anymore), yes, it's a big animatronic you can see up close, with good surroundings, sound effects and all, but I wouldn't exactly call it spectacular. I'm sure you will get to Paris one day and I would hate it if your expectations of the dragon are too high. But you do have to see it, it's a nice addition and it fits the castle.
By the way, I have added your trip report to the list of trip reports of the Asian parks I made in the 'Other Lands'-section. Would be a shame if people researching their trips miss this excellent report

Just noticed your report. I love the trip reports from the resorts outside of the US, as I may never be able to go, or at least not until my kid (or kids, eventually) are grown up. I haven't read the thread yet, but I will!
beautiful photography!
I haven't read a trip report in years but figured I would look for one this week. Being a bit of a photography nut I thought I would go down the list and stop at the first one that hooked me in with great pictures. Your trip report reeled me in. Props to both you and Jared on a fantastic report with awesome pics! It is so interesting to read about and see the Asian parks. Thank you very much for the time and effort to share your experiences!
The Green Pod is a great idea that I never thought of when a tripod is not allowed. I may be a little scared to let go of my camera on it but I think I'll check it out. Thank you!
You mentioned challenges with Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan. Those are definitely two of the toughest that drive me bonkers. If I may, I recommend the canon 35mm 1.4/L lens that can help step up your game on those dark rides. It is a bit pricey but it is an awesome lens and I get more "keepers" with that than other lenses I have used in the past.
If you have links to prior Trip reports I would be interested in reading them if it not too much bother to provide the links.
Thank you
I found your trip report and it has taken me about a week to catch up. Amazing!! This is something that we hope to do someday so I am really enjoying it!
I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I cannot even imagine how much heartbreak I'm sure you and Jared are going through but from your trip report it appears you have such a solid foundation and support system.
I really think you guys are an adorable couple and have enjoyed reading your report so much! It has made me want to make an Asian Disney adventure! Well, maybe after my first WDW trip this fall and then a hopeful trip to New Zealand next year, ... and then a trip to Australia...and a trip to Italy... so, it may take a while but it is on my bucket list!
Next time you guys are visiting Disneyland let me know! I would love to give you a locals tour with all the tips and tricks I've picked up over the years!!!
I saw there was a report about the Asian parks and I had to read. My goal is the same as yours to visit every Disney park around the world, albeit I've only been to one (WDW), but I want to learn as much as I can about touring the other parks as much as I can before I go especially the Asian ones since I heard it is quite different from the US parks. Your report is super informative and you & your husband's photos are GORGEOUS. I kinda want to steal some to use as desktop backgrounds lol I look forward to reading about more of your Asian adventures!
Life Update
Hello my Disney friends I just wanted to post a quick life update as a brief explanation of why there has been a long delay between posts. I actually suffered a miscarriage and found out in mid-April I had. It took a while for the actual bleeding to start and when it did I ended up in hospital, lost nearly 2L of blood, and as a result felt very awful for a while afterwards. In addition, when I finally was back on my feet and got to back to work I was so busy trying to catch up that I wasn't able to stop for lunch breaks (and write report updates in them) and was too exhausted when I got home. I just wanted you all to know that I'm back on board now, and I plan to make regular updates from now until I finish the report. I am doing well now, and and feeling a lot better, both emotionally and physically.
I really wanted to share this because I've been blown away by the support and love from people reading this report, and I don't want you guys to think I forgot about you or couldn't be bothered posting anymore. I really am excited to share the resort of our trip with you, now that I'm back to my normal self
