An alternative to the DDP?

My DH and I have come to the conclusion that the DDP, while a great value and surely convenient, is likely to bust our willpower to eat only moderate amounts of food.
Instead, we are thinking about going to one of those "prepare it and take it home" meal places where you make up about 8 dinners to take home. It looks like there are a few in the Orlando area.
Since we are staying at the BWV (December), they'd be easy to cook. No prep or clean up for me, either. It would cost us around $90 for 8 days, then we could eat a special lunch OP at the parks.
Has anyone done this? How did it work out?

We've never done it at Disney, but I do meals for home at those types of places once every few months. We live in a small town with limited dining options, and they're a great alternative to fast food or bar burger carry out on nights when I am either too busy or just don't feel like cooking a real dinner. And they're great for when we're up at our cabin, just in case of icky weather that keeps us from BBQing.

I think they'd work out great if you have a villa and you don't mind doing that sort of quick, heat & serve cooking on vacation! The only potential issue I can think of is if you have a studio, because most of the things I've gotten have been intended to be heated in an oven or on the stovetop, not a microwave.

We have a one BR villa with a full oven, so I think it would be pretty easy. I've always cooked full meals in the room (DH had a quintuple bypass years ago, so I try to cook as healthy a diet as I can). But I really hate cooking on vacation after a day at the parks when I'm so tired.
