I survived my dinner party very well last night. I think eating that yogurt right before I left home for church helped. I also saw a friend at church that asked if I had lost weight so that gave me some happy feelings that made me realized feeling like that is better than any feeling I can get from overeating. Anyway, arrived at our friends, the dinner part of the party was over as it had been going for a couple of hours but they had saved us some food. I basically ate probably the equivlaent to one piece of bread (she had it cut in chunks for fondue) and only dipped a couple of bites in the cheese. I also had two rum and diet cokes, one chocolate dipped strawberry and a couple of these cream puff bites (didn't dip those in the chocolate). Then I switched to water and stayed in the family room away from the chocolate pots.
Food today:
Breakfast: slept through it!
Lunch: On the Border (again). That place even with the chips they serve is working for me right now so I picked that restaurant again. Did the same chicken taco/side salad combo as last week. I did have a small side of guac (maybe 2 TB's that came with dh's meal (he doesn't eat guac crazy guy that he is) and I did have some chips but not too many. I also had a couple of bites of ds' enchilada that I didn't need but it was tasty I must say.
Dinner: will likely be something light, maybe some soup, cereal, or yogurt. I am really still quite full from lunch and its almost 4:00 at this point. Got in about three veggies today, no fruit. If I have soup that will add two more veggies.
Took the day off from walking and intend to spend the evening packing whil dh works. I cannot believe our trip is this close.
Tracy, you asked so here are our WDW plans:
Thursday, April 17: Sleep in due to a late flight, spend some time at the pool and then head to the MK. We have a dinner ADR at Crystal Palace. I actually tend to do pretty well at the buffets, I stick to the salad and fruit and will probably have a piece of fish or chicken (last time I ate there they had salmon). Then I will have some desserts, they always have nice small servings so I can maybe sample a couple of things. Its EMH at MK that night until 2:00 a.m. Due to a short trip and grad nights, this is our one and only night at MK.
Friday: Sleep in since we will have been up so late with EMH. Light breakfast at ASMU, then head to Epcot for a couple of hours, I really want to ride Spaceship Earth since it was closed last trip. Then we will take the boat from Epcot over to Studios, we have an early dinner at Sci Fi. Dh has to go here every trip and I actually like the atmosphere. We will probably share a burger (we always seem to do that). Then we can do some rides or whatever until we see Fantasmic at 10:00, I will probably have to have my usual soft pretzel at Fantasmic!
Saturday: Blizzard Beach all day. I need to research what is available here. If there doesn't appear to be anything, I may get a grab no go turkey sandwich at the Music food court. After doing this all day, we can head back to the resort to rest and we have Hoop Dee Doo Review that night for the late show (as in 9:30). Dd and ds have always wanted to see this show. They think it will be sort of like the Bill Hill show at Disneyland. Dh heard the phrase: "all you can drink beer" and jumped right on that bandwagon. This will likely be my worst diet disaster of the trip. All you can eat fried chicken, ribs and strawberry shortcake, very late at night when I am probably starved. I am just not going to worry about it. I am actually not much on fried chicken (except my mom's) or ribs but even in small quantities that's not too diet friendly. But again, I just want to enjoy the show and have fun. This thing was so freakishly expensive I cannot even believe it. Booked the late show because we could get a Disney Dining Experience 20% discount. This is going to be my free for all meal for the trip.
Sunday: Animal Kingdom during the day then back to the resort to just swim and relax. Will probably head to Flame Tree BBQ for lunch for their smoked turkey sandwich which is pretty healthy. I can also hit the fruit carts, thats what dd always wants at AK since its always so hot there.
Monday: Our friends are going to be at WDW so we are meeting up with them and spend the day and evening together. So that should be fun. No meals planned, just want to do cs. I'll probably have the place in Japan which isn't too bad.
Tuesday: Come home really early, can't wait for that flight. We have to leave the resort at 5:00 a.m.
Whch is 3:00 a.m. our time.
As for cocktails, I plan to have one fun pool bar drink, one drink at Epcot and maybe one beer at the Hoop Dee Doo Review. I am only going to allow myself those three. Drinks kill my ability to not eat like a pig.
Tracey: The pool drink is for you Wish Sis!
Amy: I used to have a real problem with peanut butter. Somehow I don't anymore, no idea why. I have a 1.5 TB measuring spoon and I just sort of eat it slow and enjoy it. If I have chocolate chips in the house, I tend to have about 10 of these spoonfuls decorated with choc. chips. Which is why I don't ever let choc chips in my house!
Pearlie: I am giddy with excitement at last. I really haven't been, I think I got so bummed about the surprise that suddenly wasn't, and also just still being in that sad spot in my life due to my mom's passing. But now that its so close, I can't help but be excited!
Stacy: I am totally excited, your trip is getting really close too!
Beth: I am bound and determined to not lose my momentum. I have worked too hard to get to this point, I think I can do it.
