Amy's Former Designs

Kari,
The Magic and Wonder designs in the first post are not mine and sadly, none of the designs in the second post are mine. Thanks for sharing those that you have.

It's funny, some of those in the first post were some of my very first designs. I haven't seen them in awhile.

I think that Kari (rumblytumbly) has one in her photobucket of wallpapers to share. The site that I had originally found it - it is no longer on there anymore.

I am fairly new to trying to do the design thing. Is there a specific type of photo you would use to make the names?? I have figured out how to the get the name but have not yet figured out how to do the outlining and other special effects that I have seen. I saw a thread that was talking about the outlining but have not been able to find it again. Can anyone help me. :confused3

Sometimes, you can find a background that works nicely inside the names. Or, I will often make my own. It helps if you have a lot of character to show through and that they are all along the same horizontal line.

I am not sure what software you are using. For Photoshop Elements (in order to get the outline), look on the right hand side under special effects>layer styles - I normally choose bevel or any other layer style. Then you will see a sunshine like icon in the text layer in your layer palette. Click on the sunshine icon and a menu will pop up. Choose stroke at the bottom of that menu. You can change the width and color from there.

I hope this helps!

I was told this was your disign so I wanted to share it with you. Thank you for such wonderful disigns.

I may have more than this, but I'm not sure which ones are yours. If I post some that aren't will you let me know so I can delete them? I have a bunch of them because your designs are awesome!

I would love that - and yes, I'll let you know which ones are not mine.
