Amuck, amuck, amuck, amuck!

Remember, my punishment is a timeout at the churro cart with a churro!

am I the churro in that cart????????

hey cheryl how is the wdw trip planning coming??? your going pretty soon right?

omigod Lynn--in EIGHTEEN DAYS@@@@@@@@@@

I am totally trying to plan what clothes and shoes to take--we are shipping down our stuff about a week ahead (because I don't want to deal with luggage and a disabled Mom) so that means "pre-planning!"

Can you tell I don't feel like working right now? All I want to do is think about how much fun this is going to be.

However, it's been in the high 80's low 90's there so I am like--rats! that means it's probably humid too (since it's been raining everyday!)

yes, it's coming up soon . . . almost too soon (but not quite soon enough!)

But, but, but, but, I should be the one getting the Churro! I am being a good girl! Really I am!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Lynn,

Thanks for the Amucking video! :lmao:

I LOVE your new siggie!! Great lightening bolts :scared1:

I can't wait till Hocus Pocus comes on!! We have it set to automatically TiVo!

Fellow Amuck-Makers,

Ok, let's discuss some stuff whilest Beth is away:

Now that I am part of the read- and get others to read- Twilight cult maybe I, too, need to FINALLY break down and read
H A R R Y P O T T E R :scared:

I liked the first movie with all of it's cuteness (Loved the moving newspaper, the secret city, all the kiddie stuff)
Harrypotter.jpg

but then it just got kind of ... i dunno... bogged down in story and not as much fun stuff. Of course, this is from the "watched the movie" only perspective. Maybe I'll try the book-work route. LOL

Have you guys seen HALLOWEENTOWN??? It's another one that, in my opnion, is a great classic (even some of the rest of the series..all the way to Halloween Town the college years can be pretty entertaining.)

Also, how bout Tower of Terror the original movie?? I'm sure most of you know that the ride was based on this movie but have you seen it? It's really good!

Some ToT background trivia... Here is a picture of the hotel that the Tower of Terror hotel was based on.

Hollywood Hotel

On a recent trip to LA we passed the Hollywood Tower as we were zipping down the freeway. I recognized the name of it from the movie and happened to have my camera out and snapped this pic! I thought it was cool that it was a hotel with the same name. What I didn't know is that I was actually capturing the original! If you look close in the picture above you can see that the signs are the same.

My quick-pic of the Hollywood Tower!

Another GREAT Halloween movie (actually there are two.. part 1 and part 2) called Scary Godmother...

Incredible Graphics..a great movie!

Here is a clip: You can see how pretty the graphics are. It's a really great story. Funny, sweet, not too scary but plenty Halloween'y. It's a story where the tiny little girl wins!

I think I'm going to buy some sort of middle of the road version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" to play at our Halloween Party. The Disney version seems like it might be too short (does anybody know how long it is?) and the "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Depp, if I remember correctly, is extremely scary....Anybody have any other suggestions??

Any other movies I should put on our Halloween list? I'm looking for Tween scary... but not too scary.

Thanks!
Melissa

EDIT: P.S. if it's not cool to post OT on an absentee dis-members PTR then I also posted this topic on my TR if you wanna post there!

Read Harry Potter! You must, must, must!

I watch Halloween Town every year on the Disney channel, it's a fun movie. I also like Tower of Terror, so weird to see Kirsten Dunst younger like that.

My mind is dead for any suggestions. I'll have to look at my movie collection when I get home.

Or a crying adult for that matter. But alas Churros are not on my diet. You can keep it.:guilty:

But...but...but, there's no trans fat! You have to eat a churro. Just one, that's all. Eat it, you know you want to.

Read Harry Potter! I love the series. I started reading it to make sure my kids could read it and fell in love. There are so many levels of humor there. On this note, Wendy did you read the last book? If you did read it don't you just love Mrs. Weasley and her fight at the end?

Well...maybe a nibble or too. It's not like Richard Simmons will never know a thing.

I would never tell . . . . especially after Richard and his "cruise to lose" threatened to ruin my vacation about 10 years ago!!!!!!!!

So my favorite Halloween movie is "The Halloween Tree" based on my favorite Halloween book by Ray Bradbury!

I wanna hear that story!

I used to love reading Ray Bradbuy. I haven't read him for years. How about a good Dean Koontz book?

Oh my goodness, the last book was such an emotional rollercoaster! I think I was only getting 3 hours of sleep a night when that book came out. I could not put it down. Mrs. Weasley fight was awesome!

I was yelling over that fight and pumping my arm.

Okay I'll eat it as long as it's our secret.
