Remember the olden days (Well, you probably don't) but in the olden days we used to have to take our hand held cassette players that had the new fangled "RECORD" button on it and hold it up to our parents stereo to record songs off the radio.. true story

Ok, well.. I'm too cheap for an iPod or any of that stuff but my DD's do have cell phones. Well, DDC takes her cellphone and holds it up to things like the computer or the radio and records songs the REALLY old fashioned way and it is TOO FUNNY. But anyway, that's a long story to tell you this:

My DDC has had that song on her cell phone for MONTHS and all I can hear (because it's such a crappy recording) was da doot doot doot doot do.... da do doot do doot da do. first of all...that was way rude it was YOU who had to start this PTR and pulled me in to read it and I have expectations and you smashed my dreams and hopes damn it all to hades!!! and that is soooooo typical pulling the sick card out of the stack to avoid having to finish this PTR...

and nobody was talking about him being for you anyways...hes my daughters.... get it? got it? good!! anybody else wanna mess with a mama bear protecting her cubs wilderbeast??

I thought he did a great job as a brooding hottie in Spiderman... but perhaps he was too well known from "Freaks and Geeks" which I never saw but plan on seeing the re-runs because now James Franco reminds me of Edward

Don't get me wrong... I like the one they picked... I hope he transfers well as Edward on screen. And... I have been known to like my men with shrubby eyebrows...

More mature, you know. But maybe that because I'm more than twice Robert Pattinson's (Edward) age. I could be his mama.

Do you love it in Soarin' when they go over Yosemite Falls (ok, so that's almost on topic for this PTR)? I do. We drove most of the way to the top once, took a picnic, and sat looking over the water. Well, DH and I did. DS and DD were sure we were going to fall in and die, so they sat back by a rock. How did we raise such party poopers?

aww how sweet....you know he is cute but i guess that youtube scene you posted caused me to think he would be too geeky for it but then again he did good in spiderman...I do think hes cuter than Robert but Ive totally been able to see Rob as Edward now...totally!!

Are you close to Portland? I'm sorry if you already mentioned but I forget. Bridal Veil was gorgeous! I also REALLY like Silver Falls... what a fantastic hike. It has to be one of the worlds coolest.

LOL I have never been to the real Yosemite Falls. I would totally not want my DD's to go near it and they would probably be too scrared, too. I'm a big-ole chicken who can't take the stress of imagining people (even OTHER people as I have felt the fears about on different occasions being next to waterfalls) fall over.

I love all parts of Soarin.... I think I have liked the Ocean scene the best because it feels the most real to me.. like I'm doing it slash really there. BUt that changes for me (which scene seems the most real).

TravelMel, is your Bridal Veil picture in Oregon? I thought it was the one at Yosemite. There is also one on the way to Reno from San Jose (where I live). The only falls I've been to in Oregon was Multnomah, and that was many years ago.
Disneegrl - I love the area around Yosemite. Which side are you on? We haven't been for a few years, but we used to go to Family Camp near Groveland in the summer, and stay in Oakhurst sometimes in the winter. The only time we stayed in the park was before DH and I had kids, when we stayed at the Wawona.

I am finally packed!! I started today around 11:30 and finished around 8. Ugh. Last time I wait until the last minute to do everything!!
