Amtrak - Orlando or Kissimee?

We are planning on taking the Amtrak from Harrisburg, PA to Florida in November. Would it be best to get off at the Orlando or Kissimee station?

We went to florida last year on Amtrak and got off at the Kissimmee station. it was convenient for us but I'm not sure if was closer.

It is about the same distance but you will notice a difference on your return trip. I saw on the boards that more people boarded at Orlando. I was glad that I had seen that because since we boarded before them in Orlando, we had no problem getting seats across from each other. When we were pulling into the Orlando station the porter for our car said "Get ready for the mob!" LOL! He wasn't kidding. There were three families in the car before and it was completely filled up when we left that station. Neither station is in the greatest area of the city so that really doesn't make a difference.

I sure hope that the rails are finished being upgraded by then!

We used the Orlando station....and yes, it was very crowded for the return trip to PHL! There are probably more ancillary services at Orlando - rental car, Mears, etc. although I can't say that with absolute certainty.

Kissimmee station is ONLY 23 min away from Disney.
