Hi all, my husband and I are going to Amsterdam in early July for an adults only trip. We have been before (as have I a couple of other times) so we have been to the major attractions/things to do/see. Does anyone have any suggestions on things that we may not have done before. (previously been to the main museums, Ann Frank Haus, canal tour). Also any food or market suggestions. Just trying to think outside of the box a bit. Thank you.

Fun fact, three USA players have played for the club in the past (it might be a trivia question on the tour 🤷‍♂️) :

Sergiño Dest
Defender
11.09.2019 to 30.09.2020

John O'Brien
Midfield
30.06.1999 to 31.12.2004

Eddy Hamel
Attack
31.08.1922 to 30.06.1930

When my husband and I did a long weekend in Amsterdam a few years ago, we used the i Amsterdam City Card to get free admission to a bunch of places. Even if you don't get the card, you can use the website to get a list of interesting places: https://www.iamsterdam.com/en/tickets

On our first day, when we needed something mindless due to the jet lag, we went to this tourist spot which is similar to Soarin' at Disneyland/Walt Disney World: https://www.thisisholland.com/en/

Did you try Rijsttafel the last time you were there? That was one of my favorite things that we did. I think we went to Tujuh Maret if my iPhoto location is accurate. Also kind of silly but we rented a car to check out the beach and windmills and visited the Brederode Castle ruins on the way, which I thought were really cool. Unfortunately my niece slept through the visit, because she would have loved it. Not worth renting a car just for that, but if you happen to have one they are worth seeing.

Yes we did and I agree. We will be visiting a friend that lives in Haarlem one day.
