amex points

I was wondering if anyone has used amex points for car rentals, and if so how did you go about doing this, and was the price reasonable. Thanks!

I would suggest you go to www.flyertalk.com for more info on that. I frequently go on that website for updates points and airline miles.

It really depends if it's a good deal for you. If you can get a decent rate paying cash, then it is not. If you're going over a super busy holiday time, and the rates are high, and you can get a reservation using Membership Rewards Points, then it can be worth it (or if you have a ton of them and need to use them up). I think you cannot do "pay with points" though; rather, you get a credit toward your rental. It seemed a bit complicated to me. I always use mine for transferring to airlines or for Marriott gift cards.

You are so welcome! I love the Dolphin - mainly for the location and they have great rates frequently! It's a nice hotel, lovely pool and dining options there too. Hope you have a good time there!
