Amex Points for GC?

Has anybody converted AMEX points for a Universal GC? Looks like a better return on points.

Any delays on receiving the gift card? Not sure what our plans will be the day or two we are in the area, but I’m hoping it’s a digital gift card and we can apply the funds online quickly and not have to pay extra at the gate.

Sorry, but I'm no help. I don't even see the option to redeem AMEX MR points for a Universal GC. In general, when redeeming points for a gift card, you can choose a digital card if that option is available for that vendor.
