AMEX Advantages?

Are there any Disney advantages (i.e., other than those offered by the AMEX reward program) to paying for room reservations with AMEX?

When I asked this of the reservations agent, she stated "NO" and explained that VISA is now the official credit card of WDW. When I checked on the Disney website, however, they listed 2 pages of perks for paying with AMEX.

Any clarification would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'd say listen to the CM rather than the soon to be outdated webpage.

AMEX won't be Disney's preferred card, Visa will be. Whether you'll get anything like the white glove treatment with Visa is something even *I* want to learn about.

We were at Disney and shopped at Downtown Disney and was informed that all American Express discounts ends Jan 15, 2003.
