Amerisuites Universal studios yes or no

Hi all,
I tried doing a search but the last one was in 2003. Anyone stayed here? I am not looking for a 4 star just something budget for sleeping. But I also don't want to have to sleep with bugs or be in a filthy room.
We plan on doing the Universal, sea world side of things this trip. We won't be doing Disney ( So NOT my idea so don't boot me from the boards please ) this time. Unless I can figure out a way to slide in one day .
Any info would be awesome on this hotel.

I haven't stayed there - but I do like Amerisuites - here are some reviews

so I would say YES

remember that Amerisuites are generally 'pet friendly'. this bothers some people - so don't stay there if this bothers you.

TY so much. I did do a search there but must have mis-spelled something not uncommon for me . The pets thing does not bother us at all in fact there are a couple who own US

Check, but I think it is one of the Amerisuites that is now a Hyatt Place. Whole place just rehabbed and looks nice....is this it ?

Yep that is the same address. Of course prices are up now to over a hundred a night. It looks very sleek and modern now and does look very nice. If you can judge by the pics.
But I am afraid I don't do over a hundred a night for a hotel room. So my search will go on.
