Has anyone ever stayed at the Amerisuites at the MCO airport? There are 2 - East and West. Apparently the West is about 2 miles from the airport. I am just wondering how they are - newer, clean, etc. There are 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids. Our flight is arriving around midnight the day we leave for a cruise to Port Canaveral. I can get a rate of $125 with the entertainment book. Thanks!

Both buildings are new. Maybe 2 to 3 years old.

Do they have a shuttle to MCO? We are arriving around 11:00 pm and have a ressie to stay in the MCO Hyatt for a quick overnight before we start out vacation. Obviously it is so expensive to stay there, but some shuttles I see stop at a certain hour. I don't want to be stranded at MCO if flight is late, that's the reason we booked Hyatt. Would love to save $$,but if it means missing a shuttle, it would be no good. Oh, and we need it back in the AM since we are taking ME to SSR first thing in the AM.

We've done both of them. They are actually across the street from one another. Both are nice. Try going through Priceline. Each time I've done Priceline I've gotten the rooms there for $50. I always bid $50 and have gotten both Amerisuites and the Marriott.

I am a little nervous trying Priceline since we definitely need a room for 6 people or we have to get two rooms. If I knew what to look for I would try it though.

The airport hotels all have shuttles back to MCO. I don't know of any that don't.

Just to give you another option, we've stayed at the Sheraton Suites Airport, its a nice place. You can usually get it for $89-109 on the Sheraton website with a prepaid nonrefundable rate. The suites have 2 doubles and double sleeper. Free airport shuttle. It's on Augusta National Drive north of the airport (it is next to an AmeriSuites, I'd assume the East one). The whole area is actually pretty nice, it's just hotels and restaurants and some office buildings.

I just checked the Sheraton Website and the Sheraton Suites at the airport is $275 for the night I need. I think it is higher due to Spring Break time. Thanks for the input, maybe we can use this in August for one night.
