The smoke is unreal this week and we aren’t even that close to it. You smell it as soon as you walk out the door and they said it will be worse tomorrow.

I feel so bad for the people that lost everything and are still fighting this.

Here in NY, we are going to be dealing with it until at least tomorrow. I can only imagine how bad it is for Canadians dealing with this continously. Thoughts and prayers with all Canadian people.

Congratulations Vancouver for winning the Canadian Championship. Vancouver qualifies for the 2024 CCL. I'm looking forward to seeing Vancouver represent North America proudly. So there is some good sports news in Canada during this unfortunate time.

I can’t speak for the country as a whole, I am a shy person, I thought I would grow out of it, but it is what it is. Shy is not the term I would use, nor have I ever heard that to be honest.

All seems to be better (knocks on wood), was not good at the beginning of the week. And I had to constantly clean disgusting ash from my patio furniture, which made me limit my outdoor exposure except for dog walking. After seeing that, it made me wonder what I was inhaling. I smoke, so that’s being a hypocrite, but I don’t need more

I'll try to frame it differently. There is a stereotype that Americans are loud, proud, and boastful. The Canadian stereotype I'm referring to is that most are overly polite, quiet, and more introverted than out going. I'm not saying I believe it but I'm curious if any of it has some merit.

I have a lot of experience with Americans, being in the USA, I do find they/you can be loud and proud, but boastful I don’t know ? I always think it’s a great thing.
As for Canadians, yes it is a stereotype that we are polite, more reserved, introverted I don’t know ?
Come downtown Montreal on a Friday or Saturday night and you will see a great time, nobody quiet there

Reserved is the word you're looking for and yes, in my experience, Canadians generally are more reserved than Americans, at least in public.
