But you'd still be a Raps fan - right?I would live in the States in an instant, if I could be in New York City.

We've never been but I look forward to the chance. It's one of the few places left we'd love to see but haven't.Not sure I could live there (price), but we LOVE NYC! What an amazing city. So lucky to have vacationed there.
I'm also from the US and spent summers in a border area (didn't live there, but my father was from there and my parents had a camp there.) You just unlocked a memory for me- Zeddy! I don't remember Club Z but I do remember the bear. There was a Zeller's at the closest mall (over the border) and we got the commercials, since we only got the Canadian stations without cable.
Absolutely, but then again, I am Canadian and he is from my era, so yes, I know who Terry Fox is.Without Googling, do you know who Terry Fox is?
Canadians: Is there any Canadian destination you'd like to visit if you haven't already? Do you have a favorite spot in the US?
For us it's southern California. Love, love, love everything about LA and the beach cities, all the way down to San Diego.![]()

We’d love to visit Newfoundland. And explore more of BC & the Yukon. And visit the NWT.
Tough to really say what our favorite place in Canada is! We really liked Jasper NP, PEI was great, Nova Scotia/Cape Breton was great, enjoyed Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver.
Looks like you need to spend some time on the Prairies. We always get overlooked.

ETA: I typed that wrong - I meant to ask what places in the US Canadians would like to visit.

You really are a prairie person, aren't you!If I had to choose somewhere in the US, it would be the Grand Canyon, or Kansas/Nebraska/Oklahoma or wherever I could join a storm chaser.
That's not true. Sight line before curvature of the earth is only about 3 miles. The prairies are a whole lot wider than that, despite what people say about watching your dog run away from home for three days. That's because you can see from one side to the other.![]()
Well, I think with those huge grain elevators, you can see a lot further than 3 miles, lol. That's not true. Sight line before curvature of the earth is only about 3 miles. That's true, but sadly, they are becoming a thing of the past. Just recently, the Dog River elevator from Corner Gas (the town is actually called Rouleau, but obviously, for the TV show they renamed the elevator) burned to the ground, and many others are unsafe and being demolished.Well, I think with those huge grain elevators, you can see a lot further than 3 miles, lol.
This was a tornado about 30miles west of me right by my alma mater in 2019If I had to choose somewhere in the US, it would be the Grand Canyon, or Kansas/Nebraska/Oklahoma or wherever I could join a storm chaser.
