Americans and Canadians culture Q&A Thread.

Newspaper? What are those? 😂 I have not read one in years. Seriously, the most national well known one is probably the Globe and Mail. Most of them are city based ( eg Vancouver Sun, Montreal Gazette, Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, etc).

News stations are mostly CTV, Global or CBC. I have always watched CTV the most.

I'd say the National Post is the most prominent national paper but of course that perception may just be because it's the one I read. And for TV news/commentary, we're Global people but I do absolutely LOVE Evan Solomon on CTV's Power Play.

The National Post and the Globe and Mail would be the most prominent. One with a right leaning bias and the other with a left.

USA and Canada both looking to make history tonight and I’m hyped for the games. Good luck to both countries. Non-soccer fans can follow my WCQ thread for updates. That’s my USA/Canada sports plug on this thread for the day. Prairie_girl are you any bit hyped for the game since it’s a national team game? 🤔🇺🇸🤝🇨🇦⚽:jumping1:

I still get newspaper delivered.

Granted I only get Saturday delivered and rest of the week I read online.
I love lazy Saturday morning with coffee and reading the paper!

Canadians, if Disney built a WDW in Canada, where would you want it built?

Doesn’t matter where we’d want it built. Most Americans, and some Canadians, only see Vancouver, Banff, Toronto, and Montreal.

It would make the most sense to build it in the middle of Canada, but that would never happen.

I'd vote for somewhere in BC only because our climate is better here and it is close to me! :D

Maybe somewhere that many Canadians like to take holidays. Perhaps in one of the warmer areas of Canada. Maybe Cuba or, better still, Aruba, so it would be outside the hurricane zone?

A communist Cuba? People are in jail there for wanting to live like you do. I employ 50 or so Cubans. Talk to them sometime.

I agree, the Vancouver area is probably the only place in Canada that you could get a year round park. I think it would be similar to Disneyland Paris in the winter months.

Still very cold and rainy (if it's not cold enough to snow) in the winter.

Chance of precipitation would be higher in Vancouver but the temperatures are pretty similar. Vancouver may even be warmer late January through March.
