Dan, This was so beautiful. I really like that song even though it's making me cry. Today is an emotional day today anyway, now that the war is actually getting ready to start. It's hard to think of loved ones facing danger and living under such rough conditions. Some of those pictures just tear you up. That first one, and the one of the little girl grinning up at her dad, and well too many of them to mention.

Dan, I'm a moderator on another board called Marine Moms Online (altho there are some of us dads who are "allowed" to hang around), and I followed a link one of our members posted to get here. I don't make it over to this board much, but I was just simply overwhelmed this morning.

Our son is in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated boot in October of 2001, and is presently crossing the Atlantic with his brothers and sisters in arms headed for the Persian Gulf.

Well, I didn't just tear up - I sobbed. Thank you for reminding us all of what our sons and daughters, husbands, wives, fathers and mothers and friends and relations are up against. What a great service you've provided today.

This war has a human face for us. And by showing all these other faces, you've helped make family of us all. God bless you, and Semper Fidelis!

I am glad these brought the feelings that they did to many here today. War is real, our family and loved ones are real. The sacrifices born of conflict are immense, our resolve is commensurate.

Thank you so much for this post. As I sit here looking for my kleenix, all I can think of are those brave men and women who are in harms way.
