American in custody shown on CNN

The American soldier whom they believe was responsible for the attack on troops in Kuwait was just shown on CNN..he is being detained by our soldiers..unbelievable!!!

Whatever they might have been considering charging this guy with, it's just been upgraded.

CNN just reported that one of the soldiers injured in the attack has died.

Most likely this suspect and anyone that might have helped him will be charged and tried under UCMJ. Does the military still use firing squads?

Completely agree. No trial needed. There were enough witnesses. Shoot him in the head. That's the last thing our troops need to be concerned about... fellow soldiers attacking them.

While i agree that our solders shouldn't have to worry about their own......I disagree with the firing squad.....We sit here in the safety of our own homes and are watching all this unfold.....we have no idea the terror and fear these young men are going thru...he might of lost it and thought they were the enemy.

I feel very bad for his family. This has got to be awful for them.

I think the "he lost it "theory is laughable. Sounds like to me that this was planned out. There were 4 grenades missing, 3 of which were thrown in 3 individual tents all of which had high ranking officers in them. Plus the traitor(soldier) may be Muslim (a convert maybe?) so it may be a stretch of speculation of why this happened.

I caught a glimpse of it. IF what they are reporting is accurate, he was a Muslim who had been upset over the war. I think it seems to be more of an eye for an eye theory to me. Even if he *just snapped* does that excuse being a murderer?
Like the soldiers over there don't have enough to worry about!!
