I think you may be right that they all have taped something like that farewell speech that will be shown when they are voted off.

So true - but sheesh, I should hope that the idol is someone who can sing. And Carmen has been awful! She deserved to go long before Ricky.

Kim C. has just got to go one of these shows !! Her range is about 10 notes. Hot bod though, I think that's what pulls her through. And from her stage work, you can see how she gets in the front and center on most group settings. She knows how to get noticed, but come oonnnnnnnnnn.

I started the AI loving Clay. Underdog. Nerd with an attitude. Wonderful voice. BUT, his mannerisms and mouthing "thank you" in exactly the same way each show is getting to me. He's certainly come a long way, but he's NOT the Idol. He needs to go too.
And let me say three words about Kelly Clarkson--Not Good Enough ! Does she know she wouldn't be in the top 8 this year or what !!?? I realize her appearances were guaranteed, but you can tell she's nervous and trying too hard. AI has really improved the talent since the premier year.

dzneelvr, I thought I was the only one that was bugged by Clay's "thank you" and same expressions while the judges are giving their opinions. I like him but it looks like he is trying to be humble while expecting the praise at the same time.

It's still a popularity contest. I will be glad when it finally gets down to whose really the best and who isn't.
