His siblings were nice and respectable, but this one......ACK! Once when I was about 15, I caught him leering at me in a store and being a mouthy thing, I wanted to say, "I know what you did. (the thing that made the whole town despise him) Quit looking at me." But my SIL grabbed me and dragged me off. He was leering at her too. She made me promise not to tell my brother.

Kara's final song songwriting venture sounds interesting. Does anyone have a complete list of songs that she has written. I did some minimal research and I found names of artists but not names of songs.

The artists included: Pink, Christina Aguilara, Faith Hill, and a bunch of others.

I also had no idea that Kara is only one week younger than me and has a degree from a very decent school.

Yay, Rickey's page has the Adam video up now. Grand! I wish they hadn't run out of time with him. It was a lovely version. As a huge Tears for Fears fan and someone who had the Donnie Darko version on repeat for ages, I think Adam's arrangement was very similar to the films, but he took liberties with the melody that Gary Jules didn't. Loved it.

I liked Allison tonight too, but everyone else was pretty forgettable for me. I'd be hard pressed to remember what half of them sang. I'm nervous though, because I dialed for Adam for about 10 minutes and got through every time.

Am I the only one that thought Adams song was weird and creepy? Don't get me wrong he sang it well though I had never heard it before but it was just gloomy to me.

As someone with the same eye condition as Scott I take great offense at the above little blurb about him. I have avoided this thread because I knew people wouldn't be able to control their nastiness. He is a true inspiration to me ane I am sure the rest of the visually impaired community. Just to be up there takes more guts then most people will ever realize given what he faces.

I thought the judges were pretty darn harsh tonight on Lil. It wasn't the greatest but it wasn't that bad.

I loved Allison. I don't get why she keeps ending up at the bottom.
I hateed Matt and the hat. I hope he goes home.

You are absolutely right about that. My foster brother had the same eye condition as Scott too, and I also find Scott incredibly inspiring. People really have no idea. He has a fantastic attitude and sense of humor.

That is exactly how the song is written and sung by Tears for Fears. It is not the cadence of Shout (Shout, Shout Let it all Out) or the Everybody Wants to Rule the World. If you read the lyrics to both of those more popular songs, the lyrics are a tad gloomy but they are hidden between fun synth pop riffs and silly videos. I also think these songs were on 80's teen movie soundtrack which as older viewers -- equate with fun and silliness.

ETA: I must have had some different versions because I just looked at the original video and it has a poppy synth track in there which has a fast tempo.

Going out on a limb here: Adam will win American Idol. I don't even see how it would be possible for anyone to come even close. Just waay too much versatility in his voice-he can do anything with it.
