And I just listened to the 2 versions of the winner's song and I kinda liked both. It is true that they are very different but both were good.

GREAT show last night( I did not read all the posts either, sorry)...OMG, I cracked up at the Kara/Katrina bikini stunt and when Ryan said his comment about knowing what's new. well, I have to say I was actually pulling for Adam in the end...I am a fan of both, and I find Kris' voice to be more melodic than Adam's, I find Adam more enjoyable to watch overall. Absolutely LOVED when he came out in the Glamsuit for KISS, the rest of kiss....awww, love them but there comes a point when even that much makeup and costume cant hide the truth. Rod sounded great, even if he did kinda portray an"old man in plaid" vibe...a little unsteady on his feet, I hope all is well healthwise for him.
Kris' wife bugs me for some reason...nothing to base that on, none of my business and she could be the sweetest thing on earth...but something just off there. Anyone notice how Allison RAN, I mean BOLTED over to Adam after Kris won?
So happy to hear that the contracts/deals are happening for them all...gotta say no surprises there, but like I said, I am looking foreward to hearing Kris and SEEING Adam.

Great sum-up. I was totally afraid that Rod was going to emerge from the underground and walk out with a walker (tennis balls and all). That was scary.

As much as I enjoyed Adam and Kris' duet it had NOWHERE near the energy enthusiasm and pure joy that Adam and Alison had (due mainly to the lack of charisma on Kris' part.. yes, I know he's cute- like a puppy. I get it)

Congratulations to all of you Kris supporters. If it couldn't have been Adam, I am glad that Kris won. I really enjoyed the show for the most part. I liked Kris' duet with Keith Urban and was pleasantly suprised with Matt's little snippet with Santana. He sounded great and better than he did all season. And Scot has to be the most exuberant dancer ever. As far as Adam - I think he commanded the stage everytime he was on last night. From his duet with Kiss to the times he introduced the guest acts. He was just better than the others. And please indulge me as a fan of Adam, but I really wanted him to be the only idol performing with Queen. His voice was the only one big enough, Kris was OK but everytime he had his parts I wanted him to be quiet and let Adam sing.

I didn't want to get in to this during the season but I do think it is worth mentioning that around here there was a big push from some religious circles to not vote for Adam because of his lifestyle. I know that I live in the Bible belt and should expect it, but I was actually contacted by someone who wanted to make sure that I was aware of those 'pictures'. Didn't affect my vote and I'm pretty sure that Adam would not care but I think it explains a portion of Kris's support.

Sad. Sad. and Sad. Not surprising but definitely sad. Aren't fanatics cute? Awww... so cute!

Wow there is a big difference in the style. I will admit I can understand some people would like Kris's verison better but in my opinion Adam's verison is head and shoulders better then Kris's

Listened to both versions...both are done VERY well. Guys should be proud of themselves. My main critique is that I can tell it's ADAM singing. his voice is immediately recognizable as his. Kris is terrific, but it could be Jason Mraz, Plain White Tees, or a whole host of Pop singers. He's not unique enough.

LOL, actually Rod Stewart gave me a WDW moment. Watching him, I felt like I was watching an "Eat to the Beat" or a "Flower Power" concert. I even asked DH-"Do you think Disney could get Rod Stewart at Epcot next year?"

Both guys seem very nice and humble, and I like that a lot. However, there is really no comparison. Kris sounds like every other pop-ish male singer...nothing unique or different. Adam...well, that's another story. He is so unbelievably talented. While Kris may be around for a bit, Adam will way outlast him. It doesn't bother me too much that Adam didn't win, but really, he is certainly the most talented.

I must have always been a "old" soul because you and I are the just about the same age and pretty much what you say abotu Kris is how I am with Adam. Even when I was that young I did not like that type of music. Boy was it hard being a teen in the mid to late 70's.

I didn't get to see the finale...

A friend and I decided to go see Star Trek at the IMAX in Charlotte.... Movie: awesome! IMAX "experience": not so much... it was just a big honkin' screen and surround sound... I coulda saves mucho $$$ and just went to Greensboro..... AND saved half a tank or so of gas! This version of IMAX was so NOT worth the $15 tix price...

Guess that's what I get for being used to the 180 degree of "immersion" that the version they have at Discovery Place (also in Charlotte) has ruined me.... Well, that and Soarin'.....
