I miss my VFTW fun. That site would make me cry with laughter sometimes.


I won't be around next week. Taking my dd6 to WDW on a short, last minute mom and me Spring Break getaway.

i said the judges, not the fans.

She did hit it that one week, but last week not so much. It sounded more like Danny's high notes than Adam's.

I've decided that people not liking Adam's high notes are similar to people not liking Opera singing. I think often the reason someone doesn't like opera is because of the soprano. It is almost an acquired taste.

no i like some opera, actually. it just depends.

different strokes for different folks tho. we don't ALL have to like the same thing....

we're getting close to the magic number...might hit it before this weeks show if we chat a lot. I think the last 2 years we just chatted a lot more about certain people on the show...kinda like some of what is going on with Tim right now.. last year it was Adam and still David Cook..the year before it was David and the other guy..the one that you liked Robin...Michael something or other....

...yeah, a real nail-biter....

It was more of a nail-biter last night sitting here playing Star Trek Monopoly with a friend of mine while there were tornado warnings all around us. I didn't hide in the basement. Instead I was watching the news (until the DVR fritzed up) and keeping tabs until I might would've had to hide in the basement. That and the cats weren't bothered by the weather, some even SLEEPING thru it... My sister basically "followed" one on her way home from Charlotte to Lexington last night.

Finally watched the performance and results shows yesterday. OMG this was to be the WORST season ever. Can I just skip all the other performances and watch Crystal's performance online? This has got to be the biggest waste of three hours EVER.

Although I do like Crystal's singing, there's something about her attitude that bothers me. It seems to me that she is so confident, like she knows "I'm just so much better than everyone else here-I have this sewn up." I almost don't want to vote for her just for that reason. Maybe she's not so overconfident, but that's the way she looks to me.

I get that impression too. I wonder if she could be the Daughtry of the season.

Nothing wrong with confidence and being self assured. And she IS better than everyone else (except for maybe Siobhan).

I think Crystals goal was to make it on tour...for the paycheck, anything above that well, cool. Only my opinion, but when they all keep saying "this is gonna change my life, my families life"...I pretty much figure it's more about the money than the chance to be a new star.
I don't think Crystal feels she has in in the bag, I think she was pretty clueless about the impact this show has (OK, USED to have)and literally is playing catch up now on getting with the program, so to say. This season is more a case of who survies elimination, not who is talented. Latest issue of ENTERTAINMENT Magazine, 2nd week with an article devoted ot IDOL. This weeks title?
"Why can't the New Idol's Sing?"

Crystal's attitude doesn't bother me at all. I think that she is just an easy going, simple person who is confident and knows what she can do. She doesn't appear to be a talker, staying quiet for the most part. If she were out there running her mouth, I might think a little differently.
