Jason is still my fave, but I know he won't win, but one of David Cooks choices is the one I'm most excited about!!!! I love one of Syesha's, but I feel it a little too predictable, as so many have done it before her on Idol.

Holy cow. Some great choices by David Cook, and by Syesha Mercado. Jason Castro's choices will allow him to continue to be as unforgettable as he's been over the last few weeks.

Did you really mean unforgettable?

I thought Jason had some good performances earlier, but the past couple of weeks... he's been pretty blah for me overall.

Although I thought Forever in Blue Jeans was an appropriate song choice for him, he just didn't do anything special with it IMO

I think that makes me feel better . I will buy Jasons CD the day it comes out, but I believe David C should win. Now if we could get Jason to bump David A out of the finals, that would be icing on the cake. Somehow I doubt we can get rid of him though...

David Cook's first song... not really that great. And it sure didn't help that the sound balance was off. For once, the singer was way too high, the band too low.

Syesha's first song... Nice. Channeling Tina Turner but with a 2000's flair.

Jason's first song... Undercut by the fact that he had to start it precipitously (due to lack of time, presumably). Wife didn't like it at all.

David Archuleta's first song... Good enough for the American Gardens Theater at Epcot. Kind of.

Round one goes to Syesha.

I just thought I remembered you saying Jason appeared to be running out of steam (or something similar) and that you thought several of the already voted off folks were better.
So I guess I was a little confused by the comment.

To tell you the truth I don't even remember what his 2nd song choice was last week (other than Blue Jeans) so forgettable made more sense to me. Especially one of his song choices, but then I have never cared for the song and would be shocked if Jason changed my mind.
Different strokes and all.

Now since it looks like the show is already on for some of you... gotta go since I've got a couple more hours before it airs here.

I agree completely. I definitely meant his recent performances were FORGETTABLE, not unforgettable.

Wow was Jason BAD tonight- the first song was bad and the second was HORRIBLE!!!

David Cook's second song... a bit disappointing, but mostly because of how badly they cut the song short. Wife thinks Cook is perhaps trying to underplay this week, so he's not subject to contract with 19 Management... I dunno about that.

Syesha's second song... Again, very nice, IMHO.

Jason's second song... So why didn't Jason learn to play the banjo this week? SEND HIM HOME. Forgot the lyrics? Now? Him? SEND HIM HOME.

David Auchuleta's second song... Better than this first song. Not something that anyone would buy if he wasn't on American Idol, though, which is why he shouldn't win: He's not an "idol" -- he's a novelty.

Round two goes to Syesha.


So in order:
1. Syesha
2. David Cook
3. David Archuleta
4. Jason

If anyone other than Jason is sent home this week, then there is no credibility left in the American Idol voting system.

Unforgettable means you remember them always--did you mean to say his performances were forgettable--meaning bad?

I still think David Cook will/should win but David A has such a huge teen following that it might change the results.

Jason better go home tomorrow night, he was TERRIBLE tonight!! And forgetting the lyrics? At this stage of the game?! Unforgiveable. Maybe he gave two poor performances because he WANTS to be voted off?
I'm not a Syesha fan at all, but I thought she was much, much better than Jason. At least she puts some effort into it, and I even got teary-eyed when she started crying after the judges' second song comments. She better not go home before Jason.

OK, I love Jason, but tonight was awful! I think he wants to leave, he just looks like he doesn't care.

Loved Syesha tonight, I sniffled a few times with her, but Randy did not make her cry, Paula did, good tears not bad ones.

And I am making one comment here, unforgettable is not a bad thing, it's a really good thing. Forgettable means a bad performance.

I usually enjoy Jason but tonight was bad ---- very bad!

I really think he is trying to get voted off. He doesn't seem to care.

Seyesha was good. I am not a fan of hers but she was good.

David Cook --- loved, loved The Who song! I want to hear more of it. Hungry Like a Wolf was good, but not his best.

David A was OK on Stand by Me. I did not like Love me tender!

I have a feeling David A will be winning this whole thing though.

Well, for Rock N Roll Hall of Fame week I thought it was a little disappointing. I like Syesha's first song, David Cook's second and David Archuletta's second.
But the most UN FORGETTABLE (sorry, I couldn't resist ) performance had to be Jason mouthing "DON'T VOTE" to the camera while Ryan gave his numbers. My husband asked, "Did he just say DON'T VOTE?" So we watched it again...and again... and again. We both swear he was saying DON'T VOTE! I'm surprised no one else has commented on it. My husband says he read an interview with Jason where he said he finds this whole experience pretty creepy. Definitely came off as he didn't want to do it anymore. I think his wish will be granted.
