I think just us crazy people know about it.

I'm sure he doesn't think his brother's illness is something to be discussed on a television reality program. It is fine to talk about horses and sister's weddings but personal battles like that should be off limits. It would be different if it was in the past. It shows a lot of class.

I agree about the class part.

But People mag had an article about it ( on their website), which I thought was a little weird. He diescribed his private medical jet and the nurses that would be with him and who paid for all of it, etc...that article seemed really intrusive.

I saw it on at least 3 different celebrity news promos yesterday and Tuesday. It's BIG publicity. David doesn't have to open his mouth, it makes him look good.

I think it was a wise move that they didn't make a huge deal about David's brother being there and his illness. They acknowleded it and left it at that. Otherwise people would have been screaming sympathy vote. I wanted to reach right through my TV screen and hug him at the end of his song.

In some outfits, the tattoos look better covered up. To me, they are like accessories. Sometimes they go with an outfit and sometimes they don't.

I don't think Chattyholic implied that she should HAVE TO cover them but just that she should have with that outfit. It is a personal taste thing.

Elliot seems like a really nice guy. I feel badly about his mother, they seem so close and real.

I know this may sound shallow, but I just can't get past the way he looks (even with his teeth fixed). And I just don't think his voice is that good....he is just an average singer to me.

Nice guy, I wish him the best, I just am not a fan.

I really, really like Elliott and I really, really don't like Brooke. Elliott always was a trooper and had such conviction but Brooke is such a pouter and is self destructing before our eyes.

But the thing is, it's not like David Cook is running around blabbing to the press about his sick brother. He hasn't said a word to the media, it's something they've dug up on their own. Anything that was reported about him coming to the show, and who paid for it, was not told to them BY David, and I think that is what sets him apart. He hasn't gone looking for the publicity about his ill brother, and has actively tried to avoid it. He could easily have gone the other way and become "the one with the cancer brother," but he took the high road and is seen as a much better person for it.

Ohhh man there are other Idol lovers on here and I love it!! David Cook is my favorite! He seems like such a sweetheart! I didn't like him at first because I thought he seemed like he was trying to hard but now I love him! And I think Jason Castro is sooo adorable!

I used to like Archie but he is boring now, and so is Syesha. She never does anything amazing but never anything terrible, either. She should leave next though!

I wish there was a John Mellencamp week b/c I think a lot of the contestants could do well with that! (Oh yeah and I LOVE him!)

Actually no I don't think she should HAVE to cover her tattoos. Here in America we have freedom of speech and that would include your freedom to have tattoos and if they happen to show more power to her. No one should be judged by how they appear on the outside - tattoos or not.

I never said she should HAVE to cover her tattoos. I just feel that the dress she wore was something one might wear to a funeral. It was very "old fashioned" and modest. TO ME it just looked wrong, with the tatoos showing. I don't mind her tatoos showing when she wears jeans/pants and sleeveless tops. I don't care that she has tatoos. I don't judge her singing by her tatoos. But with a dress, I felt that covering them up would make for a more classy look. Like the dress she wore the night before, she looked great in it and it was long sleeved. It's just a personal preference. I thought she would have looked BETTER with a different outfit, or a jacket for the dress. Simple as that.

Funny thing is, they don't ALWAYS sing it like they did at the dress rehearsal!
