Even though Ricky is not my favorite, I totally agree with you. I honestly thought it would be Kimberly that would go.

Did you see the look on Carmen's face when they said she was safe? She looked absolutely SHOCKED!

Right now, I'm feeling very sad for Ricky.

Wow! I can't believe that, either. What I REALLY can't believe though is that I was sitting here in the living room, reading the DIS American Idol threads from LAST night to see what everyone thought, when I realized I totally missed TONIGHT'S show!. Ricky did so well last night, I thought. I am surprised. I'm guessing Carmen and Kim C were the other two at the bottom?

Ricky seems like such a sweet guy, so unassuming. I thought he performed beautifully last night. However, he isn't in the same league as some of the other contenders, and he was bound to be eliminated soon. What I can't understand is why they didn't allow him to sing one last song, as they did the others who were eliminated. Tonight's show, while good in that they didn't draw it out, didn't seem to give Ricky the praise he obviously deserves for having come this far.

If I had my choice, it would have been Carmen gone tonight.

Of those remaining, these are my choices for who I think is the best:

Ruben
Kimberly C.
Kimberly L.
Clay
Trenyce
Josh
Carmen

Obviously, American thinks differently than I do, so I say next to go will be Carmen or Kim C. I'll hate to see Kim C. go, I think she is wildly talented, plus she has the whole package.

That was SO WRONG! I can not believe that Goat Girl Carmen wasn't in the bottom 3! There is something seriously wrong with that. How is that even possible, after she was in the bottom 3 last week, and then the worst last night? WRONG!

I feel bad for Ricky leaving! He wasnt in the top half, in my opinion, but at least he really tried every week, and was always mixing it up!

Snoop, I totally agree with you. While I do think Ricky is a sweetheart (and I actually shed a few tears at the end), I agreed that he should've been the one to go. I also think Kimberly Caldwell has the whole pkg. and is gorgeous! We were arguing about this in work today Clay is very talented, but makes me nuts with his quirkiness.

I'm wondering if the contestants are given an option on whether or not they want to sing a "swan song".

Before they even started with the results, my mom said it's so obvious they don't even need to go through it, Carmen is going to go home. I told her she probably wouldn't, and I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't in the bottom 3, because her fans knew she did horrible and voted like crazy for her.

I am so upset that Rickey is gone, he's one of the few left that I really like. I didn't think he would win the whole thing (because that goes to Clay! ) but I would have at least liked him to stay a little longer.

Every week the wrong person has gone home (except for Julia). I think that Rickey, Charles and Vanessa should still be here, while Kim C, Carmen and Josh should have been gone by now.

How disappointing that KimC was in the bottom 2 but ended up staying. Ah well...hopefully next week.

For those of you that think she has strong vocal talent, try closing your eyes and actually listening to her. She is ALWAYS just off on her pitch and if she goes beyond her 3 note range she tries screaming to make up for it.

Dissenting voice here - I thought Ricky and Kimberly C were perfect for the bottom two - I'm not sure what Americ is thinking putting Kimberly Locke there several times - cut a CD today and I'll be the first to buy it!

I thought for sure I had it right this week!! WRONG AGAIN!!!
I cannot believe that Carmen isn't going home!!! She didn't even make it to the bottom 3???? I am in total shock. She was horrible!! Kimberly L. can sing circles around Yodal Girl. Are they sure they added the votes from last week to this week? Poor Ricky, he seems like such a sweet, person. I don't think it was his time to go yet? I would LOVE to know who in the world keepsvoting for Carmen?

I couldn't believe that Ricky got voted off instead of Carmen either. She really can't compete in the same league as the others, though she does seem like a really sweet girl. I think she just needs a little time to mature and develop her voice more. My order now would be:

Ugh ugh UGH!! I can't believe Carmen is still there!!! I still think she sounds like she is sitting on a running washing machine! MAYBE she would sound somewhat decent if she just stopped the yodeling stuff!
