I can't believe Rickey is gone! I really liked him, and he has a great voice.
I can't bare to have to listen to Carmen another week! The vibrato (sp?) in her voice grates on my last nerve.
And Kimberly C was terrible yesterday and not so hot last week either. Her or Carmen should have gone tonight, not Rickey.
This reminds me of last season and horrible Nikki!

I don't see how the 2 that were in the bottom 3 last week AND were supposed to have added the votes to this weeks didn't even make it to the bottom this week!!!!

Ugh ugh UGH!! I can't believe Carmen is still there!!! I still think she sounds like she is sitting on a running washing machine! MAYBE she would sound somewhat decent if she just stopped the yodeling stuff!

YES YES YES!!! My thoughts exactly. I can't STAND her voice!!!!

I don't understand what everyone has against Kim L. I think she has a very strong voice. I'm no music major though.

As for Kim C. my male friend summed it up. He pulled up as I was watching the end of the show, waiting for the final result. He said "they better not vote off that hot *** blonde!" UGH! I said that is the ONLY thing keeping her on this show! Yes, she's pretty, yes she's built, yes she does move around, but UGH she sounds horrid! He claimed that her looks is what an American Idol is. How shallow. *sigh*

I cannot believe that Carmen and Kimberly C. are still there. I can't even stand to listen to Kimberly sing, she makes my teeth hurt. If they wouldn't have done what they did last week, it wouldn't have been so screwed up this week.

The ONLY reason Kim C. is there is because of her looks. Her voice is AWFUL, really, I have never heard her sing on key. I was hoping she'd get booted but I think she was saved by her looks.

I think it's just a matter of time before Carmen and Kim C. go, probably the other Kim too.

It will eventually come down to Clay, Ruben and Josh, I think.

Oh no, Carmen wasn't even in the bottom three.

I think combining two weeks worth of votes is unfair because people might not have voted for their favorite because they thought they were safe (like Ricky). It also would've made them more likely to vote for someone they felt was on the chopping block (like Carmen).

Sharon A, I agree. I think that 2 weeks worth of votes was very unfair. After the show last week I was saying that I was afraid it would mess things up for this week, because it gave the viewers an insight as to who was "on the chopping block" already before this week's competition even started! So I figured that fans of Carmen and Trenyce would make LOTS of extra calls this week to vote for them, since they were the bottom 2 last week.

And look what happened? The bottom 2 from last week weren't even in the bottom 3 this week!!! Granted, Trenyce was better this week than last, but I thought Carmen was much WORSE this week than last week! How did she not even make the bottom 3?? I think the voting was very skewed by the viewers knowing which contestants were already "in trouble" this week.

I disagree. I could care less about her looks. Besides, Carmen and Treynce are just as pretty, are they there on their looks as well?

I thought Kim C.'s rendition of Melissa Etheridge's "Come to My Window" was one of the best ametuer performances I've seen. I think she has a great voice, and I don't have to close my eyes to keep liking her.

The final 3 should be ruben carmen and kim c, then ruben and kim c as the final 2 and either one of them could win and I would be happy.

Tryence should have been voted off a long time ago IMO she sounds awful to my ears.

That was so wrong. I am so mad. I think I may be done with American Idol. The producers really put their hand in it when they carried over the votes from last week while still revealing the bottom three.

Carmen not in the bottom three???? What was up with that? I thought that was a horrid rendition Tuesday.

After watching last seasons 'IDOL' (Kelly) perform last night I cannot help but think that no one up there has that kind of talent. I just cannot imagine any one of them that can 'perform' as well as sing (Except maybe Kim C). Maybe Kim C isn't the best singer but at least she knows how to put on a show. I just cannot picture even my 2 top picks (Clay and Rueben) putting on a show like we seen last night with Kelly.

I agree w/the previous poster, it seems like none of them are of Kelly caliber. She was excellent last night. I didn't watch AI las season so I don't know how she was then but she was great last night.

As far as my picks, Ruben should win, he doesn't over sing, he's smooth and quietly confident. I agree that it shouldn't have been Ricky's turn to go but he is not stellar.

Carmen is terrible, Kim C. is terrible but has the look & Kim L. is a good singer but doesn't have rest of the package. Josh isn't spectacular either. Clay has an awesome voice but there's just something about him.

I also agree with the others. Kelly was fantastic last night, and none of the women up there can even come close. Clay has a great voice, but he is too dull, he needs to prove he can do more, or go home. Josh has a good voice too, but he doesn't do it for me either. I love Ruben, and think he is great and he will probably win. But, I still don't know if he can peform like Kelly. I was so glad she looked much better last night. She looked downright frightening the last time she was on. With the exception of her hair, she looked great last night.

Jomrog - I totally agree with you.

I really think Reuben will win. Kim L. has a beautiful voice. Trenyce can sing, but something isn't right with her. Josh is okay. Carmen and Kim C. need to go, and Clay -- I can't even stand to look at him.

I don't get all the rave reviews for Kelly. I enjoyed her so much more before this "grand" make over. What made her special was that she wasn't like all the other trashy female singers. Don't get me wrong she did a great job, I just hate the image they are trying to project.

All I can do is shake my head in dismay. . .How in the world could Carmen go from bottom two to safe!??! I just don't get it--Ricky has probably one of his best performances, Carmen and Kim C. by far their worst. . .I just don't get it. . .

To whoever said Carmen sounds like a goat I totally agree...she is absolutely awful. What is it that she does with her voice to make her sound that way? She would be a little better if she would stop doing that - I really wanted her to go, I think she is a little too immature for this. I do like Reuben though. To be honest ~ not any of them are so wonderful that they immediately *pop* right out at ya.

What I don't understand is this...
I thought that they worked with a vocal coach during the week to help decide on songs and to rehearse, etc. Why doesn't the coach tell goat-girl Carmen to kill the vibrato. That, IMO, is her primary problem. She has so much vibrato that it sounds like she is yodeling and I think that it also has a negative impact on her ability to hold pitch. I think she'd do much better without the vibrato and I'd love to hear how she sounds without it just once.

Rickey isn't the best, but he certainly wasn't the worst either. I canNOT believe that Carmen and Kimberly C. have made it this far. I may need to stop watching, since the voting is obviously mostly done by pre-teens and teens whose taste I obviously disagree with.

I didn't watch AI last season, but have to totally DISAGREE with those of you who are raving about Kelly's performance. What WAS that?!!! I thought that the song itself was just awful. Of course, I'm 40-ish and don't think I'm the target audience for a girl with big blonde streaks in her hair and back-up dancers...
