when's his birthday? because there IS a cut-off sometime around December, and then they keep you back a year. i knew a girl who was 19 when we graduated because of that

I think that is why they had him mention the baby wasn't due until a week or two later.

To me it doesnt' matter. His wife went with him to the audition when she was about to pop. It wasn't like they didn't know that there was a possibility that he would make it and that oh...I don't know...it could happen in close vicinity to the baby. It's a whole week that he'd be gone. Murphy's law of course!

While we may have killed our husbands--let's not assume that she was anything less than fully onboard with this.

It doesn't matter if there is a next year for him. They decided for him to try out and they got what they were hoping for.

To condemn him for it is brutal and wrong IMHO. What they decide is between them.

It is also brutal and wrong for AI to rub our noses in it.

yeah and now she gets to raise a newborn by herself....how fun.

It means she went into labor much sooner than expected. Given the statistics on first time moms...I'd say...I wish I were that lucky.

I wasn't responding to you--but I do agree with them beating it to death. We don't need to hear about it.

Telling people to not vote for him b/c of it is as bad as Avril Lavigne not wanting to send someone to Hollywood b/c they had a family to support.

um that's pretty unfair. Most men don't take all that much time off work when women first have kids. She is away from him for x amount of time, much like, um. military men who may be gone even longer. As husband and wife I am sure they discussed this prior.

I think it puts a different spin on it if she went into labor early. To leave on or after the due date I think makes it selfish. To go before makes it a little better.
