he doesn't stand out at all. his voice isn't very distinctive. it sounds like Nickelback/Daughtry/Dashboard Confessional....they all sound the same and he could fit right in with them.

i'm waiting to hear something more unique like Maroon 5 or Our Lady Peace....or even Tool but i know they'll NEVER sing Tool on this show(altho i would absoutely DIE!!!!)

Hey I like this guy! A bit "pitchy" at times, as Randy would say but definitely a better choice of song.

Yup. He'd have done a better job of "American Woman".

the judges drive me crazy...Kara says he took a song and changed it and he shouldn't have...then other times they tell you to take a song and change it up to "make it your own"....jeez

When I first heard him tonight from Hollywood week he reminded me a bit of David Cook from the voice. Not as good though.

he DEFINATLY didn't compare him to David Cook at all, he just explained how David Cook made songs work for his voice/style.

lol i keep telling my husband "i'm looking for the next Ace Young/David Cook" cuz they were my favorite Idols and he keeps telling me "There won't be another one....you got lucky twice, that's all" lol

and i keep comparing, too. remember lastnight when i was like "David Cook sang this song....and did it much better" lol
