I also thought Sundance was a bit insensitive to Tommy after they found out the results. The whole, "If I make it big, then you could be my bodyguard," bit was kind of insulting, even if he was just joking. Tommy looked pretty pissed too.

I agree, it was insensitive but Tommy's reaction for losing while in the elevator was uncalled for. Maybe there's more to the judges picking Sundance over Tommy than just the singing. We don't see all the behind the scenes behavior. Remember a couple of seasons ago the blonde guy that was more interested in partying and girls and was so full of himself? He didn't make it to the top 24 either. I least I don't think that he did.

I'm not really down with Sanjaya. I think he reminds me too much of Donny Osmand

DH and I say each time we see him that he looks like young Donny Osmond.

They did say last night that Tommy was known to be the arrogant one. Remember that??? They showed him sitting with Antonella, letting her fix his hair. He even commented that he was sitting next to a beautiful girl.

I think Gina is different than most of the other ladies. I was looking at the bios and saw there were many white women. Just by looking at it, I think its a men competition this year.

Amanda's comment about God picking the good ones really made me mad. That was uncalled for. I really liked Bailey. I was sorry to see her go but sure was happy to see Amanda get the boot!

BTW, all HECK is breaking loose on the AI boards about Antonella's win over Marissa

Some of their picks really surprised me. Antonella is way out of her league. Marisa was a far better singer.

It leads me to wonder, do they purposely put mediocre singers in with the top 24, to move the singers they want foward?

I've heard rumors that a man is going to win. I've heard that one man has already been decided as the winner.

I always scratch my head at AI spoilers. How can anyone say who is going to win at tthis point? It is a live competiton weeks to week. The viewers choose the winner. The viewers have in the past astounded the judges by eliminating one of their favorites, so we know the judges can try to influence the voting by their critism, but they cannot choose the winner. So at this point how can someone "hear" the winner is going to be a man?

you know, I've watched every season religiously, and i often think that at the beginning of the season. but the only season where i truly didn't find myself pulling for anyone in particular was season 4 (I ended up on the "anyone but Carrie" camp, and look where that got me!). last year I was a hardcore Elliott fan, but not until we reached the top 10 or so did he start standing out to me. that's what's exciting about the competition, you never know who will grow on you!

That just proves you know nothing about music...LOL...Carrie was the best by far that season and Elliott was horrible and should have went out before Bobby....I hate to hear people bash Carrie cause they dont like a Genre....The girl has a magnificent voice and looks to boot...

wow that is kind of harsh....I think we all know how you feel about Elliot and even though he did not win AI, I doubt he will hit the Copa circuit and will probably do quite well in his own right.

Plus he got bleeped a lot in the elevator too. Whe he got the Idol logo over his mouth and fingers I commented to my daughters that the judges knew what they were doing.

I don't bash Carrie only because of the genre I just thought she had no stage presence and was boring. Last I checked my taste didn't include the looks she obviously impressed you with.... She lost me totally when Ryan asked her about the lyrics to "MacArthur's Park" and she turned up her lip and said "I don't know"... what a turn off. She was about as exciting and interesting as a turnip. I'm glad she's done well but she gave me the heebies and the jeebies.

Didnt you just say a few posts back that you are glad there are no Country singers in this top 24 because you hate the genre because your mom forced you to listen to it...I think that puts Carrie right there in that category...I for one thought she was the best singer that year....I didnt like her based on looks alone....That just added to it....as far as the lyrics to MacArthurs Park....Heck i dont even know...I couldnt tell you if I have even heard that song...Sorry....I think your post awhile back only proves my statement....I hate rock music but I liked Chris....didnt like Constatine.....It gives me the Heebies and the Jeebies when someone doesnt give a person a chance because of a genre or their looks for that matter....Just like Antonella she is getting bashed and we really havent heard her sing but about 30 seconds....obviously the judges heard something they liked....its sad cause she might be very good but will still get voted out....you know the editing on these shows....just like the judges telling Tommy they liked him from the beginning and telling Sundance he struggled....then keeping Sundance....

yeah you might be right....I liked Carries looks more than Elliotts....But I tend to be on the computer not really watching to the final shows....I hear the voice....only 3 I ever had to mute...Fantasia, Constatine and Elliott....could bare the voices...sorry....Now Ruben, Taylor, Mandissa, and Carrie....I could listen to them all day everyday....I think Chris will be that person this year...
