Chris was offered a deal by Fuel. I was shocked Chris was voted off. He does have a niche and I think we'll be seeing him around a few months after the tour ends.

I personally would like to see our hometown boy win, but Taylor is so darn funny. I love to watch him perform.

Wow! I didn't know Chris was rejected for Rock Star. I think that just goes to show the calibre of singers on Rock Star.

I totally agree. And while Chris might be good, it just goes to show you that he is not the "ultimate rocker" that some people think he is. It's great to have favorites. I appreciate your opinion that he is good. He IS a good singer - but how can people spit so much venom at AI and claim it's rigged because Chris is the most talented Idol contestant ever when he couldn't even make it through the auditions in a tv show in his own genre?

One question for all these people now coming out and crying "FOUL". Where the heck were they during the 24 hour period between the performances and the results show and why wasn't anyone complaining that they were getting Katharine's voice BEFORE he was eliminated? Why did it take close to a day after the elimination for these "crossed phone lines" to emerge? Because they never happened. And every contestant gets the "call cannot go through as dial message" when the lines are jammed. I've gotten it for Taylor and Elliott.

You hit the nail on the head! Chris was a good singer, but he wasn't the be all, end all singer. He is the same as many others trying to make it in the business. He will go on and most likely be a success (big or small, who really knows). I haven't voted in the last few weeks, but I did vote lots over the last seasons since the show started and got that message many, many times over. This year I haven't voted all that much because I thought they were all good enough to be Idols and didn't have 1 person that stood out heads and tails above the rest.

But let's face it, this is a reality TV show. It is fun to watch, but I don't have a personal, emotional attachment to any of the contestants. I don't know them, they don't know me. In the grand scheme of things after my favorite is voted off (which already happened) I still got up in the morning, and continued to watch to see what happened next. I actually think Chris getting voted off makes the next few weeks more interesting because now we have no clue who is going to be in the finals. If Chris can go than so can Taylor! Wouldn't it be a huge thing if Taylor got voted off next week and the final was Eliott and Katharine?

Now seriously, I usually agree with "most" of what Simon says. Randy and Paula aren't always as honest. Randy has gotten a little harsher this season though. But Simon has just been hard on Kat for a long time, and I'm tired of it!

I've heard that there might be some controversy with the phone lines......with some people saying also that they think a lot of voters got shut out because they kept getting busy signals for Chris.

She posts on the AI message boards, Elliott's board, under the name of WonderWoman. She posted before she went to the show and told everyone what she would be wearing, and sitting next to Elliott's Mom, so apparently it really was her.

I agree with both of your points. She loved Paris, Mandisa and Kellie and, though not PIMPING them, gave them grand compliments, even when they didn't deserve them!

Pheromones, folks, hetero men will be more attracted to women than men and hetero women will always be more attracted to men than women. No one complained when Simon just about licked all over Kellie when he was calling her a "minx"...

Also to admit to technical difficulties and give in to the recount would be a nightmare for them. Besides, if they cave in to these kind of demands they would be doing it every year. This one is keeping the banter going at the watercooler and every talk show in town... heck, no one could PAY for that kind of publicity!

Would there be this much of an uproar if Taylor was voted off? Maybe? But come on, it's over get on with it! Stop watching, it's not skin off of my nose. It still will be a very high rated show next season.

As always just my opinion of course. But are you kidding me?
If Taylor had gone home Wednesday I think the uproar we're seeing with Chris fans would be mild in comparison to the outcry from the Soul Patrol folks.


Sounds like Chris is debating whether he wants to accept the offer from Fuel or go solo. I say take the Fuel deal Chris!!

What's the news on the hometown parades? I hear Taylor's in Birmingham today. Are the others at home? Anyone have any news from the hometowns?

(Oh and may I add a for Chris' job offer. He'd be a fool not to take it. Both he AND the band have a lot to gain from that partnership)

I too hope Chris takes Fuel's offer - can't wait for the CD! I hope the final comes down to Taylor and Elliot!! I agree that this thread is becoming not fun...it seems those who like x put down anyone who doesn't - all the way around.

And Kat bashing? Please, yes, she forgot her words, personally not a huge deal but the judges made a HUGE deal in the early stages when Melissa did it remember? So now later in the game I would think it would be more applicable. It seems everyone has strong opinions no matter what...and seriously - it's a tv show folks. No need for everyone's panties in a wad just because we don't have the same opinion.

Most everyone agrees that Kat should have gone home, even the judges said it. America voted. And that's what happened.

After last year's Scott Savol debate, this thread is incredibly calm, but I disagree with the fact that "this thread is not fun." Of course, it's still fun. I can think that Chris fans are too emotional, you can think I'm nuts for liking someone who forgets their lyrics .

I read this morning on FOX NEWS an article about Chris and this next paragraph struck me like a ton of bricks along side my head, LOL:

"Some fans around his hometown fear their votes were mistakenly credited to one of the other contestants because they'd get another hopeful's voice thanking them for the call instead of Daughtry's, family friend Tracey Adams said."

I really don't know what to believe anymore. I did hear a rumor that Kat's voice came up when people tried to vote for Chris. Well, if this is true, how can it be proven? Do they vote again? Is it worth all the trouble?

I am a Kat fan all the way. But if (and that's a BIG if) things were done unfairly, then I'm sure that Kat would step down gracefully. And Chris fans better not gloat about it either! But I don't know if anything will actually be done about it. Who knows?
