I really don't know what to believe anymore. I did hear a rumor that Kat's voice came up when people tried to vote for Chris. Well, if this is true, how can it be proven? Do they vote again? Is it worth all the trouble?

I am a Kat fan all the way. But if (and that's a BIG if) things were done unfairly, then I'm sure that Kat would step down gracefully. And Chris fans better not gloat about it either! But I don't know if anything will actually be done about it. Who knows?

When this has happened in the past Fox did a recount show. I would think that if someone really had this problem they would have spoken up right away. Someone had to have reported the problems the other two times, right? Saying something a couple days after the voting takes away some of their credibility for making this claim IMO.

We had a lead in to our local news a couple days ago about Kellie being in a lot of "hot water" with AI over something she did. I never did hear what the story was, does anyone know?

She sang the National Anthem when she went home to Albermarle. The contestants aren't suppose sing unless it is approved by AI.

I heard that in addition to this they were also upset that she cut her hair. I know that the non-singing is in the contract. I don't know about the haircut.

I forgot to post about Chris on American Idol Extra last night...

A couple of things he mentioned in his interview:
Ty Treadway asked him if his family influence him at all in his song selection. He said that the kids were pretty much behind him no matter what he did but his wife was very vocal about songs she didn't think he should be singing. Specifically, she tried to talk him out of singing the Queen song he picked and the Shinedown number. Personally, I think she was right. Those (IMO) were his two weakest performances.

Secondly, and this surprised me, Chris was asked what famous singer he'd like to work with if he had his choice. I figured he'd pick Live or another alt-rock type band/artist but he chose...

Elton John!

I was really surprised at his choice.

Oh, and they interviewed Simon immediately after the results show and asked him if he was shocked that Chris was eliminated and Simon said, "No."
Well, if you ask me, his face told a very different story!

If you have DirecTV, AI Extra is being rebroadcast on the Freeview station (I think it's 101) repeatedly today and tomorrow.

There were a couple of references to Scott Savol a few posts back and it made me wonder something. I DID NOT enjoy Scott Savol because he had a very slow vibrato which I found unappealing. In contrast, I LOVE Elliott with his fast vibrato. I'm wondering if people who liked Scott Savol are the ones who do not like Elliott, and vice versa. Or are there people who liked both? Just curious.

I bet they didn't like her new "inverted bob" that's she sporting. It probably is in their contract somewhere that they can't drastically change their appearance.

Randy Jackson chose "You Are So Beautiful", a Joe Cocker song, for Taylor Hicks's Judges' song choice. I think that is a very good choice.

Rumour has it that "Try a Little Tenderness" is Taylor's personal song choice

I totally agree. And while Chris might be good, it just goes to show you that he is not the "ultimate rocker" that some people think he is.

Actually, I think that's why I liked Chris so much. I'm not a huge rock fan, but I thought Chris was great. He wasn't a hard core rocker - a little more contemporary, IMO.

I'll miss hearing him.

I LOVE the two judges picks announced so far!

I can definitely hear both of them singing those songs (in fact, I thought taylor might actually do that song during the "Love Songs" theme week).
They should both do great!

Saw Chris on Leno last night. He was very good. Just your next door neighbour kind of guy. Jay asked him if he thought Ryan was a little harsh when he told him the news and Chris said that it made good tv. Chris asked Jay if he thought that Ryan should have put his arm around him and sweet talked the whole thing and Jay said that that's what he thought Ryan would do after the show. Chris was howling the whole time. It was cute.

I heard that Chris will be on Regis and Kelly on Monday making the talk show circuit, anyone hear of any other shows that he'll be on? I'm curious to see what song he does.

Now that Chris is off I can't believe I have know desire to watch the show again this season. I feel like it has been such a let down. Almost every person I have come in contact with feels the same way. Chris had a huge following. I'm sure we can guess who will win. Taylor Hicks. I guess I can catch some of the Gilmore Girls I missed.

I feel the same about Chris. I'm not just pouting because he lost, everyone I've talked to also feels that something went wrong with the voting. There is no way that he got less votes than Katherine that night. I'm very bitter about it and have every right to be. I've never seen such an uproar. I can't wait to see Chris on the tour, and will be first in line buying his album!

I'll be watching Scrubs again on Tuesdays!

I will be seeing a former AI contestant tomorrow night. I am going to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Patrick Cassidy in the lead and Amy Adams from AI as the Narrator (for those who don't know, it's a musical and the Narrator sings her parts). I can't remember what season she was on...and I think she must have gotten voted off pretty early. I think it might have been season 2.

Yep! He was offered a while back, and had to decline b/c of AI. He was just given a second offer, and said he'll have to think about it.

I liked Scott and everyone knows I dont care for Elliott....
