For all the Bucky and Elliott fans out there:

What a great picture, huh????

Ah, that is really an excellent picture.

I would have preferred if one of the girls would have gotten the boot last night. I wouldn't have missed any of them.

I actually teared up when Bucky got the boot. I LOVE when Bucky wears his hair down! I was a literal puddle watching him. His personality and smile has made me gaga. I don't even notice his teeth anymore. I have to tape the singing show and watch it later, so I haven't gotten to vote this year. If I could though, I would vote for Taylor, Chris, and Bucky. I didn't like Chris with the dark eyeliner though. I think he is so very sexy without it.

As for Kellie, I HATED how she sang BR! That country twang was so thick that it just ruined the song. I thought the whole bit was hideous. I agree with others that think she is playing up the ditzy thing. I'm not jealous of her one bit either. Now Katherine, heck yes I'm jealous. I think she's gorgeous. I don't dislike Kellie, but she's not my cup o' tea.

In the end, I would want Taylor to win, but don't AI to do to him what they did to Bo. So, let them have Kellie.

Awww-does this list represent the only choices the contestants have? If so that's too bad-I was really looking forward to someone singing "I'm too Sexy for.." When I told DH that next week was Rod Stewart week,he showed his age by saying he was looking forward to "Morning Dew" from when he was with the Jeff Beck band.

...Right Said Fred sang "I'm to Sexy".. Rod Stewart sang "If you think Im sexy". Plus according to what the paper said they can only choose from his Great american Songbook songs..not his "rock" stuff.

Watch when she first hits her knees on the riser - the hump is there.

Oh yeah, and it wasn't the first time she did it either. Her actions don't exactly match her "poor little country girl" personna.

Actually, Taylor sang one of those songs on the list at his audition - The First Cut is the Deepest

I, for one, am looking forward to standards week. Honestly, I always enjoy it when Idol goes back to the 30s/40s for songs (remember Kelly Clarkson's "Stuff Like That There" -- I consider it one of the best Idol performances ever). Plus, this should be the week for my girl Katharine to shine (fingers crossed).

I'm a huge country fan and I think that Kellie is mediocre at best. I can't imagine that other country fans are really behind her all that much.

Cue the X-Files theme song... :rolleyes1
Hey, the X-Files was my favorite show. ;)

All I know is that I've never had trouble voting for Bucky until the other night. It was almost constantly busy. It was odd but then DialIdol should have reflected a set up if there was one. At least, I think so.

Indeed, and DialIdol had Bucky within two-tenths of a percent of the bottom. That's within the margin of error.

I didn't mention that he came from a poor background to be crass. If you read my entire post I didn't base that soley on because his wife couldn't afford to fly to L.A.. I based it on what I've read on multiple message boards, posts written by people who claim to know him and his family personally. Whether it's true or not I can't say for sure. I wasn't putting him down for it. There's no need to feel offended. BTW, I'm a huge Bucky fan!

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come across like I was insulting your post. I really was just trying to comment on the fact that it is so expensive to travel these days that even us middle class folks probably couldn't afford to go out to LA and support our family members if they were in the contest. I haven't read anything about Bucky or any of them except what I see on this forum, so I really don't know if he's from a poor background or not. I wasn't offended at all by your post...just making a point. But I guess it came across the wrong way. I apologize.

Bucky is probably middle class. He works at Covington's Body Shop in Hamlet with his brother and father. They do repair work but they also restore old cars. There's money to be made in restoration. I can't believe what my FIL has spent on his '57 Chevy! :rolleyes1

Bucky said in a local interview that he is moving to Nashville. He has some opportunities there. He wants to see how far this will take him.

He said they gave him a great going away party Weds. night. He is going to miss the contestants more than anything else. His favorite moment was meeting Travis Tritt after a show. He said Kenny Rogers was great, very laid back.

That's because he got the teeth fixed! At least somewhat. If you look closely, it looks like they veneered them to straighten them out a little. Not orthodontics (in this time frame!) but at least he looked better for the competition.
My DH is a dentist so he notices these things...on everyone!!!

I too wish Bucky the best. Really seems like a great guy with a good head on his shoulders. :sunny:

AH! That makes sense! I kept looking at his smile the other night thinking, "his teeth don't look THAT bad!" Wondering why I had thought so to begin with, lol.

I think it's Elliot's squared jawline that bothers me more than his teeth. I don't like to watch him when he sings, but I do like to listen to him. He also seems like a genuinely nice guy. My heart just melted when he got all teared up during the family segments. I'm a pushover for a sensitive guy!

Anyone else think that Paris looked like a mini Lil' Kim the other night?

I don't know if I've ever posted on an AI thread but we do watch. IMHO, Bucky was cute as a kitten but never had the talent to make it. Cute gets loads of votes but talent should be in play now that they're down to so few. Paris has talent, Katherine has talent, Elliott has talent. I LOVE Chris but he's not very versatile, nor are Taylor or Ace and I really like them too. Taylor was my favorite but he's beginning to annoy me almost as much as he's annoying Simon-he DOES get too unleashed and therefore looks like "the drunk Dad at a wedding doing karaoke." Ace just doesn't have the power he needs to carrying it off, he's darling but REALLY....can we get a good hair stylist to work on that stringy hair? He'd be sooooooo much cuter if the front was a bit feathered and not just hanging in a big glob. Plus, it looks dirty sometimes. I just can't stand dirty hair. Kellie....hmmmm, I think she's genuine but too crass/raw to be American Idol. She's just not wholesome enough for America to take that risk----"snot rag"? Her background is not her making but she needs to have stepped beyond it by now-at least on national television. I do think with some guidance, she could be a great country singer but I'm betting her to be not smart enough to make good choices regarding the people with whom she surrounds herself.
Ultimately, I'd like to see Katherine and Paris out there in the final two because I think they could be stars. Chris should be the next lead singer for INXs. lol

I just don't get the whole appeal of Elliot...I don't even like to hear him sing...I thought maybe it was because I can't watch him when he sings (between the teeth and his ears that are really way way down on his head, just odd) but I tried closing my eyes and listening to him but still dont think he is anything to listen to....teeth are a big thing for me though, I can't stand watching people talk or sing if they have bad teeth...

re: Elliott - For me, it's the eyes. Something about him makes me think of "Mad Eye Moody" from the last Harry Potter movie :teeth: :scared:

I mentioned "Lil'er Kim" as one of Paris' "AKA's" in my review, so yeah, I definitely agree that she had that look goin' on. She has such a different look from week to week, it's always interesting to see what she'll come up with next (now if we could just get her to sing that particular song with the seriousness which it deserves. ).
