Before, Simon said that Taylor, Kelly & Chris were his top 3 favorites.

I agree that both of these songs definitely can be oversung, but I completely disagree that they are sad songs. They are both songs of hope and optimism for a better life than what the characters have at the time. There may be some sadness that generates the songs, but I think these are both uplifting songs to Dorothy and Annie. Maybe this is why people sing the last refrains of these with such volume...they really want us to know that they will overcome, with as much voice possible. Personally, I hope Kat really nails the song tonight without oversinging it. It's a great choice for her voice.

I agree with that... I don't think they are very sad songs. More like looking forward to a better day--

While I have been rooting for Taylor and Kat from the beginning, I have decided that tonight I will vote for whoever does the best TONIGHT. I think all three are deserving and they are all so different that it's hard to compare them. I am worried that Kat will blow it again...especially with the songs she's been given to sing (I Believe I Can Fly is one of my all time worst songs ever...didn't R Kelly write it and make it famous? And isn't he a pedophile? Eww. ) Anyway...she chokes under pressure and while I think she is very talented, I think she needs some time to mature and become more comfortable on stage. So I will only vote for her tonight if she really nails it. BRING IT KAT...I WANT to vote for you!!. Taylor, I love...but sometimes he brings it and sometimes he doesn't (Take Me Home Country Roads?! ARGH). I'm not a Springsteen fan, so not real happy about that song. Who picks the third song they are singing? Anyway...if Elliott is the best tonight, he'll get my votes. But Kat and Taylor are going to really have to perform badly for me to think Elliott is the best. He's got a great voice...but not much of a performer IMO.

I don't understand why the judges didn't give Kat more songs like the ones they have praised her for. They always criticize her for the exact same type of song they have chosen for her. Why not something more like Black Horse and Cherry Tree? Kat seems to sing best with fun, uptempo songs. Their choices are a little heavy, in my opinion. I hope her personal choice is more fun.

Elliott was horrible as usual....Kat did not sing powerful enough for me...just ok for her....Taylor already has the 1st song wrapped up and hasnt sang.....Its a battle for 2nd and they neither want it...
