Exactly how I thought it would be. I will miss Alex and he is the one whose music I would have actually bought.

He'll probably still get a record deal. And probably more leeway to make music in his own style rather than Idol producers' style.

Glad I didn't know the spoiler. I can't believe two years in a row, I am happy with the top 2. Watched the taped part from yesterday right before the show, and I then flipped between the Yankees/Mets and Idol. I am OK with either one who wins. But Caleb has been my favorite all along.

Happy with the top two. No doubt Alex is talented, but I just cannot stand his style. Hope Caleb wins it all, but will be okay with Jena too.

I would have been happy with any of the three left in the top two. I think they are all very talented in different ways and will have careers in front of them after AI is over. Sometimes it can be better not to win.

I was hoping that Alex would make it through as he's a local boy, but I'm happy with the top two and will be happy with whoever wins (although it would be nice to have a rocker win for a change).

I think Caleb is extremely talented and there is no doubt he can perform and bring a crowd to their feet, but his music is not the stuff I like. I didn't even like it when I was younger.

My husband always thinks I'm nuts because I don't like the Stones, Who, Aerosmith or any of those kinds of bands. I like a few of their songs but would not go out of my way to buy any thing of theirs. I was southern rock, easy listening, oldies and country with a little bit of other bands tossed in. I love Genesis, Styx, Journey and Supertramp. My big love is country and has been for a long time.

Catching up on this week's performances.

Caleb did an awesome job with his sore throat. I hope he recovers 100%; although I'm pretty sure that there is a microphone stand that might never recover.

Jena did great too. So glad she made it through.

Alex is probably the one that would put out music that I might buy. I'm sorry that he didn't make it through to the final; but America made the right choice.

Nice to see so many familiar faces in the video clips tonight. Happy 500! But I have to say that I don't know if I'll be watching another season after this one.
