I have a hard time understanding Hollie when she speaks. I don't think it's an English accent as much as a speech impediment.

Agreed, it drives me CRAZY!! I can just about tell the BLOCK you're from just by listening to your dialect. She has a mixture of so many things but I also agree there is a speech problem there.

I don't think they do themselves any favor by singing a song that was not on the radio and is not well known. I think people tend to vote more for music that they know.

I liked her better than Jessica. She (Hollie) at least shows some emotion when she sings that is not faked.

This is my review of round 1:

Jessica - Oh no there are three Jessicas! The opening was OK but it went south fast when the tempo picked up.

Skylar - This is way too shouty. I think that she and Jessica should have switched songs. Their songs fit each others voice.

Joshua - I don't like the rough type of voice he is using. It just sounded forced. I like his usual voice when he doesn't throw a lot of runs in a song.

Elise - She sounds really good. She has the best rock voice so no surprise. The best performance so far.

Phillip - Excellent song choice. Phillip sounds great!

Hollie - I kind of like this. I just like Hollie's big voice much more than Jessica's. Jennifer is really stretching with her critique.

I liked Elise and Phillip best, next would be Hollie. Jessica was the worst by a mile.
