I've been listening to Billy Joel songs this morning. Why on earth didn't anyone do some of his "peppier" music??

Oh yeah - it's because many of these kids (e.g. Holly) have never heard these songs .

Dialidol was a little surprising today. Lately it's always whosever in the pimp spot that is on top but not this time.

HeeJun was probably the single best performance, style-wise on Idol... I mean, who else EVER started a slow song, stopped after a couple bars like he forgot the lyrics and busted out a funky t-shirt? After Idol's summer tour, I think he needs to go on Last Comic Standing.

I kinda dug Colton's "Piano Man". He paid respect to the original while still making it his. Same for Phil.

I'll admit it, I know all the songs they sang (or attempted to sing) last night.

I didn't really love anyone, it was more of who did a more "ok" job and who downright stunk.

My top three: Colton, Philip and Erika (love the new look)
My bottom three: Deandre, Elise and Heejun

I thought Holly put emotion into the song, "connected" with it. But they didn't say a thing about that. They go on & on with certain contestants and hardly say a thing to some. I think the sound on my DVR is off because I certainly wasn't hearing the great renditions & voices that the judges heard last night. I think Heejun's hilarious but every week they say he's got a great singing voice but that he didn't sing that particular song well. Huh? Ok, one off night but week after week, either you can sing well or you can't.

Let's see if Lana Del Ray stinks as much as she did on SNL. If we watch this whole show and they don't send anyone home because of last week's double elimination, I'm going to ask for a refund of my time.

I liked his voice in his very first audition..after that he just lost me. Last night I guess was supposed to be funny..but fell way short.

Glad Elise is safe. I like her style even though I wasn't crazy about her performance last night.

Lana Del Rey should sell lullabyes. She was HORRIBLE on SNL and I'm not expecting better tonight...
