Oh I have to say I do not like dial idol this morning. I know its not always accurate and I hope it isnt!

I liked Reed, Phillip, Colton, Jeremy, Aaron

All of the rest were way too boring...

sooo, I saw the first half last night, finished the 2nd half early this am. Kinda a waste of recording time on my DVR. I have pretty much the same conclusion as the rest of you. I did notice however, that they have much better theatrics/lights/stage shows right off the bat this year....so those were more interesting to me than the *talent*. I like Reed...but I was having trouble hearing the audio for the singers last night. The band and backround singers were much louder. I had this issue last year around the semi-finals time. Someone else was having this issue too last week To me, they all may as well be on a do-over since no one was a stand out to me. Deandre, the dude w/the hair, omg, on my tv it was painful-off key and weak until the end. When I was hearing the judges comments I was like wha....? I am a big Steven Tyler fan, but dude, quit haivng to comment first/ interupting/jumping in on JLo. What was up with that? He probably knew they were all going to run out of generic comments to give.
Well, here's hoping the girls give a more lively performance tonight. I like Elise , Jen and Jessica (but she needs to not go all Celine, you know, stay current, young) I will admit I will be watching to see if Bailey Brown tanks or not..I still think that is all about packaging, and will be watching the audience for Brielle's mom, she's like a non-orange Snookie

yikes on dial idol! it certainly can't be right. there are a few they show at the bottom that seem to be REALLY popular. does it take into account online and text voting?

I did my voting. While I like Jermaine as a person cause he seems so sweet, I still don't like that deep voice. I'd never buy a song like that. But I hope his mama is proud.

I agree, I don't think JLo thought it was so funny. I bet he got an good ol' Jenny from the Block tongue lashing last night after the show!!

I came on the DIS to post my thoughts from last night and saw the news about Davey Jones. I am so sad that I kind of lost my thoughts about a lot of last nights performances.

My favorite so far was Philip Philips. I must just like quirky singers because my favorite last year was Paul McDonald. I actually heard him on the radio last week and kept thinking I know that voice. It was a song from when his band was called Hightide Blues but it was nice to hear him again.

And because I am just rambling: this week I am hearing the best new song on the radio by Mayer Hawthorne called The Walk: http://teamcoco.com/video/mayer-hawthorne-walk-101711
I think I'm obsessed. You need to listen to this one if you like Beach Music - like in Myrtle Beach, not Beach Boys. This is a new song but sounds just like something from 60s beach music. (By the way, if you get offended by language, there are a couple of words in the iTunes version that are cleaned up on the radio version. Just wanted to warn anyone who wants to listen.)
