American Idol: Season 10 PART III

i really REALLY hope that next season is better.

AI doesn't produce stars. i think that people like to watch, but of the 20-something million who watch, the winners can't even sell 300k albums? that's pretty sad.

that being said, i'm just ready for something more interesting. i was not an Adam fan, but at least he was interesting to watch. you just didn't know what he was going to do next. i think he was the last really truly interesting contestant they've had.

I would say it couldn't get any worse but I said that LAST year... and BOY did it!!

Next year I expect 3 people burping, 4 barfing and 3 more pooping. That's the only thing I could imagine to be WORSE than this year.

I thought Jamar Rogers (Gokey's friend) was really good looking. Wonder whatever happened to him?

OK, so we need some female talent scouts to go look for Usher lookalikes, that are undiscovered, can sing "a phonebook", they have to be over 21, be different talent wise, not have attitudes, have a lot of self confidence...and they have to be someone we ALL like so there is not a repeat of this year here.

Does it really matter if they can sing? We're starting to narrow this field down a little too much.

Rewind again and you'll see Haley hugging both of them and Lauren turning her face to the back of the stage and not acknowledging Haley at all. Then it looks like Haley says something and Lauren says, "okay" or "alright" or something like that and Haley walks away. For all we know Haley could have said, "Congratulations, you deserve it" and Lauren says, "Thanks" and then lowers her head because she was such a goof jumping up and down and laughing and clapping before. I see Haley being totally snubbed by Lauren, not the other way around. Again, you see what you want. Both theories are pure speculation and we really can't make any judgement since we didn't hear what was said.

Did the snub come from Haley?? Or......did the snub come from Lauren, ricochet off of Scotty, and strike Haley? Could it be there was a second snubber? Sadly, we may never know the whole truth.

After watching this, I was more struck by another thing. I think I know why Lauren didn't move around much on stage this season. She doesn't seem to have much rhythm, if watching her while Haley sings is any indication.

At the very end, both Lauren and Scotty looked like they were about to face the firing squad. I hope they can handle the finale. I'm pretty certain Scotty can, but Lauren looks so fragile.

And once again I loved seeing the former Idols with Haley - Jacob and Naima were getting down! I think if Haley was the snob she is portrayed to be, you wouldn't have seen that from her former competitors. I am so glad she got voted off - she had an awesome exit!!!

Haley looked more than shocked...she looked hateful (IMO). She never snapped out of it to congratulate the others until after her swan song and even then snubbed Lauren again.

What others saw may differ.

i honestly don't think the ending looked like she snubbed Lauren at all. i think a lot is that those who don't like her are going to see what they want to see. i was really ambivalent. i neither disliked her nor was a fan. i don't get attitude from her at all.

No, actually, what I mean is people were shocked and so were the contestants. So many people wanted Haley off the show, people were shocked she was staying on.

There couldn't have been that many people who wanted her off, or she wouldn't have made it to the final 3. Seems more people wanted her on the show than not.

uhm, my posts of her show no *violent* hate. Myself and so many others calling her out on her attitude and actions, (yet I get choosen/ singled out repeatedly, and I get accused of bullying but that's ok) is just that, calling her out, Smackdown? If what all the people post about her here is a smackdown, the real world is going to be a shocker, lol. My personal knowledge of her would be just that, personal and not my place to post on a public forum. If you like her,( not sure) I find it strange that you would be posting looking for dirt on her.

I am talking to you because you keep mentioning this inside information you have but you have yet to come forward with it. You brought yourself to my attention intentionally and until you did that, I hadn't even noticed you specifically posting. I'm talking about your pm. It wasn't a mean pm but you did put yourself in front of me. You are not being singled out; you asked for the attention. I asked you for the dirt because I'm curious about why you are so into your campaign against her. It just shocks me; I think I already made that clear-the shock about the fierce anti-Haley posts. Like I said, I haven't exactly handled myself gracefully on this thread. I am now curious about your motives, just that.

That's interesting. I didn't watch her season very much so I don't really remember her. She's a good entertainer now.

What I saw at the end was ......nothing. Haley walked on stage, Lauren stepped one or two steps back, Haley turned around to acknowledge the crowd or judges whoever. Scott reached over to hug her. Then Haley turned around and did a 1 arm hug of both of them. Turned around and greeted the judges. I didn't see snubs by any of them, didn't see Lauren jumping up and down, didn't see Haley snub her and turn her back.

For the record, I can't stand Haley, but I watched this clip a couple of times, and didn't see her snub Lauren at all. It looked to me like Lauren said "OK" and then Haley turned around to hug Steven Tyler. I still think she looked like a sore loser when they annouced it was Lauren in the finale and not her, though. That is purely my opinion based on what I saw.
