Punched in the gut? Maybe...still, I found her to be quite graceless in defeat.

And I rewound the end several times. Haley comes back on stage to hug Scotty and Lauren and Lauren moves in to say something to Haley, and Haley wouldn't even look at her and turned away as Lauren was mid-sentence. It was painfully obvious and Lauren looked as though SHE'd been "punched in the gut".

just saying, if you want to appeal to the masses and sell records, perhaps showing a little class would have been a smart career move. Said it before and I will say it again, those local to her know her reputation speaks for itself. We all know every musician can be made to sound good with electronics. However, couldn't be happier the finale will not include Haley.

I agree with your sentiments. I didn't think it was a huge deal but Haley just stood there with her jaw on the ground as if she was the next coming of Celine Dion. Sweetie you're not that good, you were lucky to have advanced this far. Show a little humility and congratulate Lauren.. not later, but when the results were announced.

I don't fault her for that. Pia's reaction was the same when she was eliminated.

Pia had more talent then all of them put together. Her vocals blew most of them away. I think she was just as stunned as many people were and rightly so! Reminds me of another great lost on the popularity show. Chris Daughtry.

I thought I'd check in before I head to a concert to see Little Feat perform. One of my all time favorite groups. They were never going to make it big, and probably most of you wouldn't like them but they sure have made some cash doing what they do.


I think the shock of being eliminated shouldn't be held against Hailey. It happens to almost all of them that think they have a chance and then get the boot.

It's what you do after the shock wears off that counts.

On the positive side, Hailey sang her heart out and included her friends and family in the end.

On the negative side, she snubbed Lauren big time by turning away from her in mid sentence. Not good !

Hi! Your references are always so veiled, yet your smackdowns of Haley are not. Do you have direct, personal knowledge of her? Now that she's gone, please share what you've got. It has to be good/bad for you to be so violently hating her, right? Give us the dirt!!!

I'd like to hear why VFTW thinks Scotty is a "goofball." I'm not Scotty's biggest fan but he seems like a decent kid, has manners, isn't full of himself (yet) but seems like a nice young man.

I think the reason why no one got onto James or Daughtry for being shocked at their departure is because most were shocked also. So many people here, on FB and in RL were just waiting for Haley to get gone and wondering why she was still around week after week. That was the difference IMHO. While not everyone I know was a fan of James' everyone believed the young man had talent, for sure.

The night he went home someone said they were afraid he'd "go off" on stage. Maybe people were just glad he went off without any type of bad show.

I like Little Feat! 2 of their songs come to mind...Feats Don't Fail Me Now and Fat Man in The Bathtub...the concert should be fun, enjoy!!!!!!! Bonnie Raitt had backed a song or 2 of theirs I'm pretty sure...I like her too.

Then it looks like Haley says something and Lauren says, "okay" or "alright" or something like that and Haley walks away. For all we know Haley could have said, "Congratulations, you deserve it" and Lauren says, "Thanks" and then lowers her head because she was such a goof jumping up and down and laughing and clapping before. I see Haley being totally snubbed by Lauren, not the other way around. Again, you see what you want. Both theories are pure speculation and we really can't make any judgement since we didn't hear what was said.

uhm, my posts of her show no *violent* hate. Myself and so many others calling her out on her attitude and actions, (yet I get choosen/ singled out repeatedly, and I get accused of bullying but that's ok) is just that, calling her out, Smackdown? If what all the people post about her here is a smackdown, the real world is going to be a shocker, lol. My personal knowledge of her would be just that, personal and not my place to post on a public forum. If you like her,( not sure) I find it strange that you would be posting looking for dirt on her.

I watched the youtube link (muted of course ) to see what everyone is talking about.

What I saw at the end was ......nothing. Haley walked on stage, Lauren stepped one or two steps back, Haley turned around to acknowledge the crowd or judges whoever. Scott reached over to hug her. Then Haley turned around and did a 1 arm hug of both of them. Turned around and greeted the judges. I didn't see snubs by any of them, didn't see Lauren jumping up and down, didn't see Haley snub her and turn her back.

The vitrol is all that's on this thread now. Look at what's left!

When it was Adam and Kris there was so outrageous Kris love, either, just a LOT of Adam SCREAMS posts. Kris won due to the anti Adams, not due to the fact that people truly LOVED him, like David Cook the year before.

This year there is a lot of How sweet and awwwws about the final two, but compare that to the Haley posts.... This thread would die to cricket sounds if they talked only about the Hee Haw twins.

She's GONE people. She cannot pillage your towns or molest your kids now!!

She's a nasty, vile, attitudy female dog... we got it! She snubbed America's Sweetheart.. how DARE she!!! She scoots, hisses and growls and is the worse person EVER!!!!!!
