American Idol: Season 10 PART III

I really was not a James fan earlier in the season. But the guy just has so much FUN onstage, it's contagious and you have to love him!

Lauren showed a lot of sass and confidence tonight. She's grown up a lot over the past two months. Not sure she's ready for the big time yet maturity-wise, but she's turning into a stunning performer.

I agree. Other than the James part. Still not a fan. I think he has a good voice, and he is fun to watch....I just don't like the music and the screaming. I can listen when he just sings but I have to hit the mute button way too many times.

Whichever I just hope they break up the country cousins. This show is now like Donny and Marie, a lot a bit country and little bit rock and roll.

Or, to pull out an old Simon word (you know, from a time when people were actually critiqued on this show), James is really "indulgent." James is no Adam Lambert...and I really disliked Adam Lambert. However, Lambert at least had control of his voice. James just pulls out a high-pitched guttural scream in every song.

Those two long pauses in Love Potion No. 9 (to force the audience to scream in adoration) made me angry for some reason.

Yep, he thinks he has already won and he's on the concert tour. I think that is why is "c'mon you know this song" (paraphrasing) and what ever else he said at the start of his first song annoyed me too.
