Haley and Jacob should have gone home first, and in that order. I did not think Casey would win the entire competition but he was better than the other two.

I was certain Jacob would go before Casey. I also cannot stand Haley even more. After her flat, disconnected and almost pissy-attituded performance last night, then her swearing and belligerence tonight, buh-bye and good riddance. She's better flippin' go next week.

I've said it before, this is my first season to watch and it will certainly be my last. I'll stick it out just b/c it would drive me crazy not to, but I won't watch again after this one.

Was very happy to see Casey finally leave, and for good this time!!!

Between him, Jacob and Haley I didn't care which of them went home.

Loved seeing Crystal, didn't know the other guy so FF through him after listening a few seconds.

I only know who Bruno Mars is because DD16 is going to his concert next month with a friend I haven't actually watched last night's show yet but I might have to watch Crystal. I do like her voice.

I think last night's result was just further evidence that this show has completely jumped the shark.

Casey before Jacob? Really?

Before Scotty, who can only sing one song well?

Before either of the girls?

Yeah...no. Since Adam Lambert lost, the show has become a bit of a joke, and it appears to be controlled completely by 12 year old girls with a very narrow palate of musical taste. They could easily fix the problems with the show by having the audience vote for who goes HOME rather than who stays, or by limiting the number of times you can vote, but they'll never do that because they like having those huge vote totals and I think they honestly welcome the occasional controversy.

It's a shame, because this used to be a very entertaining show that we could watch as a family and all enjoy. Now, it's something my 10YO DD can still get into, but I know better than to care too much about anybody with real talent, 'cause they likely won't have any shot at winning.

You are SOOO bad.

I don't get the entire season. No one to really care for, no one to add to my sig... NOTHING.

Scotty and Lauren are talented but not my type of singing. AND they both trigger my gag reflex when they speak.

Gacob... oh PLEASE. Every year American Idol digs from the bottom of the barrel of the AA singers and almost certainly pick one that CANNOT WIN. Heck even THE VOICE had two GREAT contenders... why the HECK can't we find one decent representative?

James: I liked his last song but that was IT. He is a good performer but he just sort of turns me off as a person.

Hailey: I actually like her genre but have never been really thrilled with what she puts out. She is just okay, nothing special, nothing great, just okay. I don't HATE her like the others do, at least she has a MODICUM of soul, something Casey tries to portray.

Casey: Ugh. In my humble opinion he TRIED to be cool and jazzy but fell amazingly short. I didn't find him funny or appealing, more goofy and creepy.

I'll believe that when I see it (about Scotty). Voices like his are a dime a dozen in the country world (plus, he looks like Alfred E. Newman, which isn't helping). Carrie Underwood, he's definitely not.

As for the Jacob comment....I've heard a lot of people say that, but I just don't see it at ALL. He's sharp about half the time he's singing, and the other half is overwrought and WAY oversung. They make him out to be Luther Vandross or something, but...just, no.

Sorry....12 year old girls and their moms.

Put it this way...there are about 3 people on the show that I'd consider paying some amount of money to see in person. Casey was one of them. Jacob most certainly is not, mostly because you can see better singers for free at most karaoke bars.

OMG me too! I thought I was the only one. I have disliked Jacob from day one. What is with his voice? So annoying! I don't even know how he got to the top 12! sigh. I'm really bummed that Casey is gone..... I don't care at this point who wins and am tempted to not even watch anymore because I don't even care. I'll probably just pick back up at the finale. As long as Jacob isn't one of the final 2!!!! At this point I think that James would be my pick to win. And how has Scotty made it so far? This is a really weird season.

I really like him. He's not my favorite - that would be James. BUT - I do enjoy hearing and watching Jacob.
Casey on the other hand really creeped me out. The growling was way over the top for me and the uuuh grunt after almost every line made me cringe. I actually like Haley more than Casey.

I know Jacob will leave soon, but while he's there I'm going to keep splitting my votes with him and James.

what did haley do? I missed it.
I don't rush home from work anymore to catch Idol, since my Paul left
I am still on the James train, but the others, meh, take them or leave them, mostly leave them.
especially Jacob, he never appealed to me. just not my style, same for Scotty and Lauren.
I did like Haley in the beginning, but for some reason not so much anymore.

Wed, when she sang, you could tell by the look on her face/in her eyes, that she was just going through the motions and none too happy about that. Last night, Jimmy said something about how she didn't know who she was and they bleeped whatever she said, Ryan reminded her to watch her language, and then she was all attidudinal about how she DOES know who she is, blah, blah, blah. Just shut up and take the criticism. I think it's something I've seen in her all along, an arrogance, that made me not like her. I just hope the rest of America sees it now, too. And it's not just "diva" like Jacob, either, but a true, deep-set arrogance.

Now, what Lauren said last night really struck a chord with me and my teen DDs. Talking about being grateful and appreciating her situation. THAT was classy.
