I have to add my vote to the new fans of Steven Tyler. I was/am a Beatles fan, even the Rolling Stones were a little "out there" for me, so he was totally off my radar until the Kennedy Center Honors this year. He did a great medley for the Paul McCartney tribute. I was really impressed, he killed it!

Here is a fun fact...When our older son was a college student, finished with the Disney College Program, and working for Disney in Epcot, we went to visit him. For the Illuminations fireworks, he was able to get us priority viewing. Who was also there? About 50 feet away, in an even more private viewing area, was a group that included Steven Tyler! Deb

I think what helped this year is they went back to cities they haven't in a while PLUS online auditions.

My favorite Aerosmith album is Permanent Vacation. I mainly got into them in the 80s "hair band" days.

yes, i agree. My daughter ran into him at a local grocery store and he was very nice to the folks that stopped to say hi, even asking for a ladies phone number who had just lost her mom. He wanted to call her and talk to her because she was grieving/missing her mom.
a really wonderful gesture I'd say. love him!

Excellent choice.. Rock You Till The End and A Little South of Sanity are near and dear to me, aside of their greatest hits.
Dream On, Just Push Play , Pink, Sweet Emotion, WAAAAAAAAAY too many to list.
Doesn't matter when you got int o them just that you did!

Greetings fellow Idol fans! It is I....The MASKED POSTER!

In all seriousness gang...The Masked Poster is a sensitive fellow, and last night's show had me crying manly super-tears for hours on end. That last story was just so moving! I wonder what heart-string tugging tale will be spun on tonight's show?

And Steven Tyler? What a delightful guy! I understand he is in a band of his own...Aeropostale or something? May have to set aside my beloved J-Lo for a bit and put on some of Mr. Tyler's music.

The last story really touched me last night. I've been thinking about Chris Medina and his fiance all day. What a wonderful heart he has. I even want to help them. I do hope he makes it to the top 24 at least .
